AIEEE- 17156 AIR Got mechanical engineering through councelling and it was closest to my hometown. Admission process is cery simple no interviews are there. A simple counseling according to rank gives you yhe admission.

Course curriculum is quite hard and detailed for electives, there is not much of a choice. They are given CGPA basis so one does not have much of choice in choosing. There are some subjects like mechatronics industrial safety etc which gives the real exposure of the present industry standards .

Very less companies cone for internships. During my time no company hired interns.Except for the top students no one gets an internship. Stipend offers is also very less. I think around 5000 per month is the stipend offered.

Placement part is one of the best thing of this college. Bieng an NIT a lot companies come here for placement. And ususally 98-100% students are placed.

There are 2 big fests that happens in college.1. Techniti- technical fest, budgeted around 15 lakh2. Utkansh- cultural fest, budgeted around 20lakh.These are average fest as compared to other colleges .

During my time fee was very reasonable and affordable. Ut was 16750 per semester including hostel. But it has increased in the recent time. Now it has increased to 35000 per semester.

No scholarships were offered in my year. Loans can be easily availed from any bank. There are 2 banks inside the campus. They provide loans at reasonable rate.

Gender ratio 5:1 Official hostel parties are rare. Happens once a year unofficial parties are like everyday.Workshops keep on happening whole year. One can learn alot in them. Cultural societies are cery active. One can find alteast an event evry week. Student cultural is quite good. Although its punjabi dominated but there are virtually no fights related to ethenicity or race. Moreover, college is very strict about ragging. So there is no harrasment thing at all.

Every students gets a hostel except people from jalandhar. Hostels are average and mess food is pathetic. Room sharing depends on which year you are in. Final year students can stay in single room.

Aluminu network is a bit weak. It is not well maintained but seniors on the campus are quite helpful one can go anytime in there room and talk on anything they wish to .

Exams happens 3 times a semester. But schedule is not at all hectic one gets enough time for himself and other extra curricular activities .

Faculty of mechanical engibeering is pretty strict. It is the least scoring dept in college. Rest of yhe department faculty especially industrial engineering is very lenient. Knowledge wise they are very much experienced .
