BCET in my vision

I chose to attend this college as Durgapur is near to my hometown. When I visited the college for the first time, I was impressed with its infrastructure. The college has separate hostels for girls and boys. I stay in the girl's hostel which is inside the college campus. There is a separate building for the library. All the course books, journals, newspapers, etc. are present in there. The admission processes were also very smooth. My admission process got completed within a day. The payment method was also very convenient. Many colleges harass the student's parents by asking for an extra donation, but here in my college, there is no donation required for admission. The reason I would like to prefer this college is, BCET is a very safe and trustworthy college in my vision. There is proper security checking for each and everyone entering the college campus. I chose this course as this course has vast coverage of technologies. In this course, we study both hardware and software. The faculties are very helpful here. The faculty: student ratio is about 1:17. All the faculties are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are very cooperative. They teach us in a way that is very easy to understand. They assign us tasks so that we can be engaged with studies for sufficient time. Teachers take the class test. There are in total four terms exams held in a semester. The questions are based on previous semester papers. Our teachers review the previous year's semester paper and set the term exam paper according to the previous year's question pattern so that we can get a view of the question patterns and perform well in the semester exam.

When promoted to the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Many multi-national companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, BPO, etc. The average package is about 5-6 LPA and the highest package is about 20 LPA. About 40% of students get placed in reputed companies every year.

The fee structure is very convenient for the students. One can pay the fee per semester or yearly as they want. The fee can be paid via online mode, bank transfer, check or cash. BCET offers a scholarship to outstanding students in academics and overall performances. The name of the scholarship is "Freeship". Till now I haven't got any on-campus jobs but the placements in our college are awesome.

There are many clubs in our college such as National Service Scheme Club, CodeChef, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Robonics, CodeBlock, Karate Club, and other small clubs. Each club has it's separate websites run by the students. There are many fests held during the whole academic year held by each club. All academic books and journals are available in our library. You can sit and study in the library whenever you want to. An annual sports event is also on the college's main ground. All the students are free to participate in different types of sports.

There are different type of rooms available in our hostel- common washroom + room, attached washroom with the room, and single rooms for 3rd year, 4th year and PG students. In each room, there is space for 2 students to stay together. The meal quality is very good in our hostel. The mess and dining hall are on the ground floor of the hostel building. Students can opt for a hostel while the admission process. Or if they plan to opt for a hostel later, separately, they can do it as well.
