Remarks
The college provides both cultural and academic experience. They encourage you to take part in various fests and also host fests. They have sports teams such as Cricket, football, basketball, etc. The college is famous for having many crickets graduate from here. The college has a 3.57 credit received from NAAC. The college might seem a little bit hard to keep up with since it has so many things going on but the faculty helps the students fully to give a beautiful experience. The admission process of college is rather difficult. Over 28000 applications are received every year and only 2-3000 people are selected from it. The college has an interview round and a merit list for the BCom classes. I would suggest the people refer to this college not because I study there but because of its reputation which it has earned during its lifetime. This college also has flexible timings, Morning and afternoon batch so the students can be free after 4 hours of college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BCom because of my need to go to another coaching centre for ACCA. The college does provide a course that has ACCA integrated with it but then I felt it would be better if I take up the coaching outside since I'll be studying more from the basics. The faculty: student ratio may be around 1:7. All the faculty members are sweet and well educated. The term exams are conducted every 6 months- May and December. They are quite difficult to pass as the topic discussed in the college is also difficult.
Internships Opportunities
The internship programs are offered to the students from the 5th and 6th semester. Again I won't be able to answer it in detail cause I haven't been able to experience it yet. The college provides three types of internships - industrial.
Placement Experience
Placements are provided by the college but I'm not well aware of it as I am still in my first year. The placements are provided for the people who are in the 6th semester or have graduated I'm not sure.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the course continue to be the same when you join the college until you leave for you. The college does offer a scholarship, financial assistance for up to 20000 per semester. The scholarship is applied to by a lot of people and those who are in definite need are given the scholarship. The process for the scholarship is rather simple, you can get the forms online which you have to fill and submit in the college office, same goes for a sports scholarship.
Campus Life
Life at the campus cannot be discussed by me as I haven't been able to go to the college due to corona. The annual fest is dhwani and then the business fest held is Chanakya. All the college members look forward to participating in Dhwani. The library is filled with books of all genres. It contains all the books which the students will need for references and there are various copies available too. There are not much amenities provided by the college, they have a basketball court, sports ground, a theatre and a hall for the events which are conducted. Sjccwrites is one of the websites the students run, there are others like sjcce-cell on instagram etc
Interview Experience
Yes, there was a Personal interview before the admission. The topics discussed included the topics studied in 11th and 12th. Like math, economics, accountancy etc. You will be asked around 5-6 questions and then your marks of the previous years are considered for the selection. The process usually is applying for the college, the first selection based on the marks, the second selection is the personal interview which will be the last round. To prepare for these rounds basically means being thorough with your previous year's information. If you are good at that then all you have to do is be confident and answer the questions asked head-on.
