I went with this college because first of all, it is a government college and also a well-known college of engineering. It is Odisha's first engineering college. It provides great campus placement and also allows students to practice their hobbies as well. One must give an entrance exam named JEE MAINS in order to get a seat at VSSUT. The rank in JEE MAINS will decide the college one is getting and also the branch. After the entrance examination's results will be out, the student has to enrol at the OJEE website for the desired colleges. Their he/she has to fillup choices as per his/her wish of colleges and branches. Then based on the rank scored the college with the branch of the student will be shortlisted and then he/she has to take admission if wanted. VSSUT has a great history of placements as many companies with good packages come to VSSUT for placing the students. I am from the electronics and telecommunication branch. I chose this branch over others because this was my field of interest. And also VSSUT has a great set of faculty members of the ETC branch who have a great source of knowledge, skills and also eagerness to teach. ETC branch has a total of 120 number of seats which is divided into 2 sections. The teachers are highly qualified and very friendly as well. They take offline classes and are very active in answering queries as well. There is a separate team of faculty members for the practical sessions. The teachers there are trained in practical applications of electronics. They provide a fantastic platform for learning and implementing the knowledge. There are total of 8 semesters in 4 years course of BTech. In a year there are 2 semesters. In one semester there is a 20 marks exam which is called the mid-semester examination and then a 70 marks exam which is called the end semester examination. Apart from this, there are practical exams as well.

Yes, VSSUT also offers a wide opportunity for internships and training. It collabs with many online sites such as COURSERA which provides access to many courses for free. It helps the students to learn many courses which will help to enhance their knowledge as well.

VSSUT has a great history of campus placement as it offers very good and high rated campuses for placement. Campus such as WIPRO, TCS, DELOITTE, etc. The students scoring a CGPA of at least 7.5 are eligible for getting placement in campuses. The maximum package varies from 40000-50000 INR per month. The placement percentage is very high at our college. It has a minimum placement percent of 90%. As I have a field of interest in my branch subject, I will go for a job in my branch subject only.

As VSSUT is a government college, the fees structure is completely affordable for the students. It has 2 types of seats, one is a government seat which is partially financed by the govt and the other is self-finance which is completely financed by the students itself. In a government seat, the student has to pay 40000/- per year excluding hostel fees. For the self-financed seat, the student has to pay 85000/- excluding hostel fees. On the basis of performance and reservation, the students can also get scholarships.

VSSUT has a very modern and excellent campus. Also, there are many fests which are organised every year. There are 3 main fests which are ILLUMINA( sports fest), SAMAVESH( tech fest) and VASSAUNT( cultural fest). All the fests are conducted very smoothly and also they are very exciting. Our college has a huge central Library apart from individual department libraries. It provides every single opportunity to learn to the students. The classrooms are designed in an environment-friendly manner so that they will be comfortable for the students as well as teachers. Our college also allows different clubs to perform their activities such as dance, music, sports, robotics, etc.

The rooms are well ventilated and spacious. The hostel facility is also excellent. The rooms as well as bathrooms are also very clean and hygienic. The food provided in mess is also very hygienic, healthy and tasty. The warden and other hostel staffs are very friendly and workaholic. To get a room in the hostel the student has to give an application at the DEAN STUDENT WELFARE office.
