Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at IIFT is one of the most rigorous in the country with students getting sufficient exposure to the domains of Finance, Marketing, Operations, Strategy in addition to the Trade subjects which are not offered anywhere else. Students have to be extremely motivated & hard-working in order to earn their degree at the end of a harrowing 2 years. There is a decent faculty-student ratio with students getting enough time and attention to have all their queries resolved, inside and outside of the classroom. All the faculty are decorated with degrees from the finest colleges across the globe, and the classes with them reflect the depth of their knowledge and expertise in their respective domains.
Internships Opportunities
Similar to the final placements, IIFT hosts an enviable list of companies for the summer placement process. The average package during summers was 1.68 lakhs with 90+ recruiters coming to campus. Most students were offered roles in the marketing, finance, operations & trade domains. The projects offered to students are highly relevant and offer exposure to multiple domains at once. The importance of these projects to the companies can be seen in the high number of Pre Placement Offers made by the companies based on the work of the students during their summer internships.
Placement Experience
IIFT hosts some of the top companies from the corporate world for the placement process. Apart from a very select band of colleges, the recruiter list of IIFT is unrivalled. There are ample roles and profiles offered in the domains of Marketing, Finance, Trade, Operations as well as select roles in niche & upcoming domains like Product Management, Digital Marketing, Consulting & General Management. The average package for the final placements in 2020 was 20.48 lakhs with the highest international and domestic offers being 75 lakhs and 46.45 lakhs per annum. Barring a few students who have their own plans and opt-out of the placement process, there are 100% placements at IIFT Delhi.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is 18.25 lakhs spread across 6 trisems. There are additional hostel & mess expenses. Students can also choose to live outside of campus. There are a few schemes & scholarships that meritorious students can avail. One of them is based on their past academics and their scores in the entrance exam.
Campus Life
Students on campus are completely immersed in activities with something or the other always going on thanks to the infectious enthusiasm & energy of the clubs, cells, and committees. Their events and activities provide the students with ample avenues to explore their interests and hone their skills on an almost daily basis. There are spacious classrooms equipped with the latest technological aids which help the professors in making the lectures even more interesting with extra inputs. Though the campus is small and sports facilities within the campus are basic, students have plenty of options nearby with multiple grounds accessible within walking distances.
Interview Experience
GD Topic - Do Video Games Promote Violence Interview Questions - Where are you from? What do you do at work? Why MBA? Which is more difficult - managing a country or company? Why aren't you managing the country? Should India claim PoK? Name the Finance minister, previous Finance minister and compare their tenures? What is Hunaar Haat? There is also some weightage to the entrance exam score. Aspirants should be comfortable with the current topics of the previous 2-3 months at the very least. Mock Interviews are recommended to perfect your HR answers.
