I chose iift because of the following reasons 1. It's one of the oldest Bschools in the country which makes it having one of the strongest alumni bases. 2. The location of the college is actually great , surrounded by Sanjayvan and also in the heart of delhi. 3.It was very near to my home to commute was very easy 4.The fees is a bit less as compared to top IIM's. 5. Placements are at par with some of the old IIM's. 6. The roles for finance and are at par with IIM Calcutta. I applied to mdi, wasn't able to make it there because this year they had some mishap in the admission process in which they gave admission to more number of students than the number of seats available. I got admission via IIFT's exam where for general the cutoff was somewhere around 98%ile for Delhi Campus and 96%ile for Kolkata Campus. The application was available on IIFT's official website which remains active for around 4 months i.e from Sep to Dec. It costs around 3K for general students opting for MBA-IB. Eligibility - Minimum 3 years UG program from a recognized institute with 50% minimum score. Admission Process - After shortlists is released the interview slots gets open for candidates to book their timing.In the first step there is Extempore(2 mins) majorly on geopolitics and global economic changes and some recent tech-based topics, Second step is of Interview by 2 panelists one will be responsible for technical questions and the other for HR questions...Read More

We had an IIFT's entrance exam. I scored 98.7 percentile but in general, cut off is near 85 percentile. After this, we got the shortlist and we had an interview based on the scores we got the final shortlist of the campus for which we were shortlisted....Read More

I took the IIFT entrance exam. Got around 96 percentile. Then there was the Extempore and PI round. All information was available on the website. I come from an EWS background so got that quota. The improvement I would suggest should be that the results came really late and the process could have been faster or time to time clarity should be given to the students....Read More
