Remarks

According to my rank, this was the best college where I could get a decent branch. Being in Delhi, there are a lot of opportunities to be explored here. Also, placements are also very good here. I got admitted here through JEEmains by JAC counseling.I did my 12th. Class form a school in Delhi due to which I was eligible for Delhi quota too which is 85 percent of total seats is reserved for Delhi state eligible students. I read reviews on Quora and got to know that this college has a lot more to offer. College life is also filled with adventures here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose Electronics and Communication as I was interested in computers be it hardware or software part. In this course, hardware parts are mostly taught. The faculty to student ratio is about 1 faculty per 60 students. There are many experienced professors who had qualified UPSC and were recruited here when this college was under Central Government. After coming under the Delhi government, the quality of professors has somewhat reduced but still, a decent number of experienced faculties are present here. Almost every professor has done PHd in their respective subject. Lab assistants are mostly students who are doing MTech or PHd from this same college. Every semester has 2 exams - mid and final term. Questions asked are from easy to difficult level. To just pass or secure an average GPA in the exams, students solve previous year question papers. Others who want to get a good GPA need to study properly.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies visit here for on-campus internships but cracking on campus internships is a bit hard here as there are very limited seats compared to placements. Companies like Google , Microsoft, Adobe , Morgan Stanley , Deloitte visit for internships with decent stipends of around 1 lakhs per month for the profile of Research Analyst, SDE, and AWS. Students need to be very skilled to crack internships on campus here. He/She should have made a good project in their respective fields suitable for the required profile .

Placement Experience

4.5

Students who have completed their 2nd year and started their 3rd year are eligible for campus internships here. For campus placements, companies start their recruitment while the student has just started their 4th year. Due to the corona pandemic, fewer companies came for placement last year. However, many good companies like Google, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley etc visited for placement and hired students with decent salaries last year. The highest package for last year was 50 lakhs given by Google for the post of Software Developer (SDE) for international posting and for domestic the highest package offered was 35 lakhs by Deloitte for the post of Research Analyst. A total of around 1200 offers were made by all the companies which visited altogether. The average package for Computer Science was 14 lakhs, for ECE it was around 10 lakhs and for the rest of the branches, it was around 6 to 7 lakhs per annum. Around 80 percent of students were placed last year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are different for all 4 years of BTech here. And each year fees keep increasing by 10 percent. Presently, fees for first-year is 1,90,000, for the second year it's 1,90,000 + 10% of 1,90,000 and it simultaneously increases by 10 percent for rest of the 2 years. Scholarship schemes financed by the Delhi government are provided to students in need. Around 100 crores budget was passed for the scholarship last year by Delhi government for students in this college only.

Campus Life

5

Life at Campus is full of adventures. The annual fest, Engifest is one of the best fests held in Delhi in the month of February. Cultural fest, Yuvaan is held in November. Sports test, Aahvan is held in March. Entrepreneurship and startup weekend is also held in the month of December. All these feats are full of adventures and something to explore. Library equipped with books of various authors and all genres is present on the campus. Every classroom, hall, and library is equipped with AC. Smart classes are present for students from the 2nd year onwards. Also, there are many societies and clubs run by students present here. Anyone can join these clubs by giving their interview according to their interest. Sone of the main clubs and societies include E-Cell, Vibe dance group, UAS (Tech team) , NSS, NCC, Team Defianz (Teach team ) .

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
