Remarks
IMT Ghaziabad is one of the best B-School that you can become part of. In terms of placements there are equal opportunities available for each area, be it Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR etc. The campus is really good and spacious and the college has a strong Alumni Network. I preferred this college over some of the New IIMs as in terms of opportunity IMT Ghaziabad is much better than most of the new IIMs.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite rigorous, there are 3 terms in a year, in every term, there is a midterm, followed by 2-3 quiz and assignments. Exams are based on real-life application of the concepts taught in class, basically, case study based. It is not difficult to score good marks in exams as long as you are attentive during your classes. Almost all the Faculty has a PHD from reputed foreign universities and the majority of them have industry experience.
Internships Opportunities
There is a huge pool of companies that visit the campus every year for hiring Summer Interns. Prominent recruiters include ITC, Nestle, Credit Suisse, Emami Ltd, Reckit Benkiser etc. Most of the projects provided by these companies were from the Sales and Marketing domain.
Placement Experience
Placements in IMT Ghaziabad is one of the best in the industry. Companies from different sectors come for hiring, Average package is more than 15LPA, lowest can go up to 7LPA. Major FMCG companies such as ITC, Nestle, Emami, Godrej comes for hiring. Final placements start in October.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the first year, you have to pay 11,03,000 and the rest is paid in the 2nd year. EWS Scholarship students will be provided with a 100% refund in academic fees which is 50000. The refund applies when the candidate joins the campus. Smt. Leela Nath memorial scholarship for all female candidates may receive a 5% fee refund on academic fees.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is great as the batch is large hence more number of people to interact with. Numerous amount of extracurricular activities happen on a daily basis. There is a huge library which is made available to the students, latest books, journals and Business magazines are provided to students to keep them up to date with the recent happenings.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility provided by IMT Ghaziabad is one of the best if you compare it with other B-Schools. All hostels have basic amenities like a mess room, recreation room, water purifiers, clean and hygienic washrooms. It is compulsory to stay in a hostel.
Interview Experience
First, you receive a call once you have cleared the cut off which is generally 90 percentile in CAT OR XAT. There is 3 round which contains Case study discussion, WAT and finally a Personal Interview. During the admission process, more weightage is given to your CAT or XAT score.
