Prajwal Nahar's Review On St. Joseph's College Of Commerce - [SJCC], Bangalore

I always wanted to take Travel and Tourism Management as my course since I like to travel and explore something which is not evoked. I scored 92% in my 12th Boards and my only aim was to get into SJCC.

The course gives a lot of knowledge about the travel geography and also keeps updated about the current affairs taking place. It also helps us in keeping track about the various countries which are specifically significant for the purpose of tourism.

My college does provide internship to all the students. As of yet, I haven't experienced the internship work since i am a student of first year and the internships are mandatory only from the 2nd year.

The companies they associate with or the companies who come here for the recruitment are well reputed ones and can give us a good exposure. Companies like Delloyd, Google, Goldman Sancs etc have been recruiting their trainees from here. Also since I'm in the first year, i do not have much knowledge about the companies who provide job opportunities to the students.

Our College is known for the Fests. Like, every week we have a fest in the college irrespective of inter or intra. It's like some mandatory stuff tbh. Fests maybe Cultural like Kalotsav or Business fests like Cipher (Intra college) and Chanakya (Inter college) And the best of all is the fest known as DHWANI which is the most important fest which is participated by the college all over India.

Fee structure to an extent is feasible only. It depends upon the course we opt. Usually it's around 50k for the Under graduates. Bcom (regular, professional, TT & II) are well under 60k. Fees for BBA is around 80k. It is feasible because the college is one of the most reputed college in bangalore and having a degree from this college strengthens your CV.

I have not come across such scholarships but yes, there must be some good scholarship for sure for the deserving students. Probably I'll be getting one next year.

Exam structure is quite peaceful. We have like 6 semesters and each semester has 2 main exams to write, i.e Mid sems and the final of course. We are also given few assignments in between as a part of our Internal Assessment.

The faculty in my college are well experienced and they show an immense knowledge about the subject they teach. Most of them are well versed in their particular field of interest and have the potential to share their knowledge to the students.
