Remarks

The college is one of the great colleges in terms of infrastructure as compared to various colleges in Mumbai. The college offers a variety of on-campus services like full campus wifi with a decent speed of 2-4Mbps, wireless printing, 2TB cloud storage, and many more. The lectures are recorded which makes it easy to watch them while revision. The college has many student committees like IEEE, CSI, NSS, etc. which provides ample opportunities for the student to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The teaching is quite decent, the Vidyalankar notes and reference material are provided by the college to every student. Speaking about drawbacks, the support from management is something which is lacking from the college. The college has recently achieved a NAAC A+ accreditation which tells itself how good the college is overall. The admission occurs based upon the CET and JEE MAINS scores via the MHT. cap rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Electronics and telecommunication department is NBA accredited which speaks for itself the quality of teaching. The number of teachers is enough to handle the number of students, rough there is around 40 teaching staff for the Electronics and telecommunication department for around 600 students which turns out to be 1 faculty for every 15 students. Almost every profession has at least done their masters and over a dozen of the teaching staff have completed their PhD. The teaching is quite good with regular unit tests and assignments, the term exams are regular and quite easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college offers a variety of internship opportunities for on and off-campus the college has recently joined hands with the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism for 4 projects which involve satellite image processing monitoring the ionosphere for electron content managing the satellite data and predicting the optimum path for the satellite to travel. The on-campus internships are generally offered by the incubation cell of the college which working on Edu-tech problems to smoother the learning experience of college students.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement stats of the college is decent with companies offering an average salary package ranging in between 3.5-8 LPA there are also few international packages offer by companies like Workapps which offer a package of 35-40 LPA. The college has decent placement stats because most of the students opt. to go abroad for higher studies. On average the placement stats is around 60% with TCS, Wipro, Cisco, LTI being the prominent recruiters. I am preferably looking for a startup to join after completion of the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fee for an entire year is around 1,35,000 for the General category which includes around 1,20,000 Tuition fees and the rest as the exam, development, and university fees. The scholarships are available based upon the Merit/ Category/ Economy which decreases the fees by about 50-75% the college has its own scholarship department which guides the students through the scholarship procedure. There are various merit-based scholarships provided by the college which involves a full tuition fee refund for students with an average of 9.8 pointers for the entire year. Financial Assistance is provided for the economically weak class under the EBC scheme. Most of the campus jobs offer salaries in the range of 3.5-8 LPA which few foreign offers of 35-40 LPA.

Campus Life

3.5

The college holds its annual fest called VERVE which is a week-long cultural fest with varieties of events to participate in. The doesn't conduct a full-fledged technical fest but every year the IEEE student branch conducts a mini technical fest for the college with competitions ranging from quizzes to competitive coding. The college has a good collection of books and a decent reading room. The classrooms have enough space to occupy the entire batch with centralized AC for cooling and lecture recording enabled in many classrooms. The college holds its intra-college sports tournaments every year for students to participate in a variety of sports activities. The college has its own sports complex. There are around 20 student committees on campus for students to participate like the IEEE, CSI, CESA, NSS, ITSA, IETE, etc.
