I was looking for a college in Delhi as I didn't want to go outside since all my family lives here. Within Delhi there are few colleges that have been here for a very long time and are giving placements to students consistently, IMT Ghaziabad is one of them, students who have passed out from here all have positive reviews about the college, even though the batch size is huge in comparison to other B-schools still almost all the students get placement from within the campus and that too in really good profiles.
Course Curriculum Overview
The design of the course is really good, it is structured in such a way that from the moment a students joins the college, he is taught the basics then comes the intermediate and finally the advanced. For every MBA aspirant, it should be their dream college as all the top companies come on campus, in terms of learning the opportunities are immense. A number of professors are enough to cater to the whole batch, both first year and second year, professors take extra time to clarify each and every doubts raised by the students.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is provided to all the students who want it from within the campus, very few students go for off-campus internships. Within the campus, internships are offered by most of the prominent companies in the FMCG, Banking, Retail, FSI sector. The stipend is provided to each and every student who gets an internship from within the campus and it can go u to 1-2 lacs per month. On average every student gets a stipend of 20-25k per month.
Placement Experience
Placements are great, if you compare it with any other Tier 2 college, IMT Ghaziabad has the best placements, companies from all sectors come for hiring, a profile which are offered are most of the times of Middle-level management. Top companies such as ICICI, HDFC, Credit Suisse, Emami, HUL etc. all visit IMT for final placements as well as summer internships too. The average package is close to 15LPA and the highest can go up to 40LPA too.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are a bit high but it is compensated by really good placements and exposure given to the students, facilities and amenities provided are also excellent within the campus. I would say based on the services and facilities provided in addition to learning and placements, the fees are justified. If you look through each and every B-School which is part of Tier 1 and Tier 2, they all have fees similar to this only.
Campus Life
Life at campus, as reiterated by many of our seniors, it is really good, maybe one of the best experience you will have in your entire life. Be it in terms of networking, making friends, exposure, learning and placements, it is the best experience. Throughout the year numerous amount of cultural and extracurricular activities are going to give students holistic learning and make them ready and prepare to be good managers.
Interview Experience
The selection or admission process in IMT is similar to other B-Schools, you have to give an entrance exam, that is CAT or XAT. In order to receive a call, you need to score at least 90 percentile, but in order to convert 94 percentile is the safest bet. Once you receive a call, you have a WAT, Case Discussion and a PI process. In order to ace in all these processes, just be thorough with your subject knowledge and read the newspaper regularly to keep track of the recent news.
