IIT JEE, I opted it according to my rank and my choice of branch. Although I can join other IITs also but not got the branch of my desire. So I preferred branch over college and later on I realise that I took a right decision.
Course Curriculum Overview
The education and focus on research is nice and appreciable in the college. Although there is a lot of scope of improvement in research area particularly in mechanical engineering. The curriculum is nicely developed and the books that are refferd are highly useful and content is up to the point.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, it is. After 3rd year companies come to college and give internship to the students. Although the scope of internship varies from branch to branch. I also had done internship at a Nagpur based earth company. The stipend also varied. Generally from Rs 10,000 and above.
Placement Experience
The % of campus placement is good. Few branches like Mining , mineral have 100% placement. While other have more than 70-80% . All this detail can be get from college website. A lot of MNCs and PSUs like ONGC, CIL, NMDC, Rio tinto, Schlumberger, maruti, tata motors and many more come for recruiting. The package varies from 4 lakhs to 50 lakh. Even in 2013 highest package was 70 lakhs.
College Events
There are a lot of events celebrated that cover every aspect of the college life. Music, sports, cultural fest-SRIJAN, TECH fest, alumni meet. Parakram which is intra college event is also take place which is branch wise. Other events are inter college events. Participants from near by colleges take part in these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure of the collfe was feasible at the time when I was passed out. I can't say about the present fee structure as it has changed and fee hiked a lot. I think now it is a bit expensive. At our time fee also includes mess fee and hostel accommodation few is no or very less.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no. Of scholarships awarded to the meritorious students, financially weak students. Banks also provide loans. College has its branch of state bank of India in its campus. It provide loan easily. Top 10 Sc and St students according to ranks of IIT JEE also got scholarship.
Campus Life
Students comes from all parts of the country. Although the majority students are from AP and Telangana and Bihar then U.P. Gender ratio is not good as we all aware the gender ratio is not so good in any of IIT, specially in bachelor courses. The students have their cultural societies and they organise different -2 festivals in campus and all other take part in that.
Alumni/Alumna
Our college has also a alumni group. College every year invites its alumnus of particular year in the month of February. They are helpful in nature. They help in campus placement and sponsoring the cultural events via their companies. They also provide the contacts of different - 2 companies for placement and training.
Exam Structure
Either they are mid term or end term exam in the beginning of the college it seems very hectic but as be indulge in college atmosphere, we started enjoying it. The exam pattern is semester wise. In each semester there is 1mid term and 1end term and there is no gap between the papers except if there is holiday.
Faculty
Most of the faculties of the college are Ph. D holders. They are specialised in their particular areas. Any of them had done a lot of research in their fields and currently working on the projects.
