ALL what you need to know about Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.

I choose this college because this was the best college option available for me out of the cutoff lists. The bad part about the college is its politics. The reason for preferring will be its tremendously performing placements over any college if comes to the commerce field. The admission process is also not very hefty or technical. The college societies do assist you on campus from the very beginning till the end in filling all the forms and complying with other requirements too. I had also been referred by my seniors about this college and I used the website of the college itself to explore it more

I chose BCom Hons because I am further planning to move into the CA course. Faculty to ratio is 1:40 somewhere around. The faculties are highly qualified and experienced. Some are also doing MBA from IIT. Some are the head of meetings. Their teaching style is also good and supportive. However, there are few teachers who just read out the books in the class, even after having good qualifications. The term exams are as per the schedule and due to corona seems exams are online and the difficulty level is moderate.

Students are eligible to participate in placement drives from the 5th semester. All the big 4 along with other companies from other states of India like Mumbai, Bangalore do also participates in placement drives. More than 140 offers were made around last year. CA students can also get their articles firms from the college placement as well. The highest package was 20lac pa. in 19-20. Major companies that participated in placement drives include GT, BDO, EY, DELOITTE, etc. My plan after getting the degree is to go for a CA course.

The best part about SBSC is its very low-cost fees and plenty of resources which they are offering at such low fees. Some of the assistance which college is providing is LAPTOPS to all students, FEES WAIVER to eligible family income students, etc. All the big4 recruited in the campus along with other firms and companies too across India. The highest placement being 20lac pa around last year.

Dastaan is the annual cultural fest of SBSC. moreover, there are individual fests of different societies also. The college has a two-floor big library with almost every book which a college-going student wishes to read. The journals also keep on updating and all major journals are there in the library of English language. The classroom ranges from that typical stair-style class halls to wifi-enabled seminar halls. There is a cricket ground, volleyball court, tennis court, basketball court, indoor games room where we can play chess, carrom, table tennis, etc. If one needs to go into extracurricular activities then there are alot of societies too for every activity like for art, dancing, photography, music, etc. The college has NSS Society, ENACTUS , WUS affiliated charitable societies as well.
