Akash's Review On Shaheed Bhagat Singh College - [SBSC], New Delhi

The environment was peaceful and the admission procedure was so smooth, seniors were helpful,i also cleared the cut off of one of the north campus college but I didn't go because I liked the environment, a bad aspect of this college is that there is a huge garbage dump beside the college and it spilles over to road from where we commute daily.

It was a very popular course and the majority of the commerce students opt for this course, our class strength was 56. The biggest commerce department is in this college only. After BCom Hons there are so many options like you can go for MBA and can also do a job or prepare for a govt exam like Upsc, bank po, insurance etc.my experience was quiet good in the course.

Internship opportunities are also there both paid and unpaid. Encoad is the internship cell of our college. It organizes an internship fair every year where more than 50 companies come to hire students for internships. And internship opportunities are available throughout the year but don't forget to follow their Facebook page as it's very important for you to stay updated.

placement is good, around 60% of students get placed every year I was not able to clear the placement process but I got a job after college in Kpmg India. The major recruiter are Deloitte, eyes, Kpmg, pwc, Grant Thornton, dell, DE Shaw, bain and company, Genpact etc

Fees is very economic, it's around 7k a year, for financial assistance I am not that aware. the exam fee is different and it's around 700 -800 per semester and if you get an internship you can earn money and pay for the fees. If you belong to the reserved category there may be scholarships for your fees and exam fees but I don't think anyone needs a scholarship as it is not a private college where fees are in place.

Social life is so astonishing, you get to participate in society events and annual society events even if you are not a part of the society like a treasure hunt or quiz, if you get into society, believe me, you are very lucky and on the right track. I was in a debating society and the exposure that I got there is unexampled.

There wasn't any GD/PI you just have to check whether you are eligible as per the college cut off that's it. If you don't have a good percentage you can go for du entrance for courses like bms, bba, bbe but our college doesn't provide these courses, there are designated colleges for these courses.
