Remarks

The College is located in South Delhi near Lajpat Nagar which is a central and easy location from different areas. The college has the DU biggest Canteen.NCC of the college is no.1 in DU.The college has 2 buildings and the infrastructure is very good. There is a big playground, also different flowers and trees are there. The college has various kinds of extracurricular activities like NSS, ROTARACT,YOGA, SPORTS, and various kinds of other societies. There is one seminar hall and auditorium also. The library is good with A.C.Also the college teaching staffs are supportive and education quality is good.But the college fee is quite high than another college. This is approx 15-16K for one year in the evening for b.com.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because this is very common for commerce students.I don't know the student-to-faculty ratio. The faculties are well qualified and supportive. Exams were scheduled twice in a year and there is one question paper for all du students.

Internships Opportunities

There are very few numbers no. Of companies which came for internship. Some of them only come for their promotions. Also, they offer a very little stipend or incentive.The companies which are good hire very less number of candidates.So internship opportunities are not good.

Placement Experience

Campus placement is not good. Very few companies come for placement. And a very less number of good companies come to hire very few candidates. Most companies dont give a good package.For internship, any year of students can participate and for the last semester, colleges invite companies for third year only.So overall campus placement is not good

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is high as compared to other DU colleges. Is near 15k for a year. In my time there is no fee hike.The scholarship is given to a limited number of students who have required documents upon interview. Campus placement is not good.

Campus Life

The annual fest name is Falak which held in the month of February.The library is good with the good journal, daily newspapers and books. Apart from teaching, there is no other amenities in the classroom except computers. There are various kinds of extracurricular activities like NSS.NCC YOGA ROTARACT, SAVI and different kinds of sports also there.All the societies run by the students themselves.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

PGDAV is best in terms of facilities

Students often choose PGDAV College because of its affordable fees structure and as it is affiliated with University of Delhi. It also offers various undergraduate courses like bcom hons, BA, etc. It is located in south Delhi and has decent connectivity via public transportation. The cut offs are slightly lower than other colleges of north campus. Like most Colleges of DU, admission here is on the basis of merit but now according to New Education Policy it is based on Cuet scores. Du releases cut of list in several rounds, students who meet the criteria can apply for admission. After selecting the college students need to verify their documents by the college.
