This college is considered one of the best when it comes to the Faculty of English literature. There are many students who want to study English literature who selects this particular college over others.

I have been reading apart from my academics since my childhood and English literature is the best when it comes to extensive knowledge gain. The faculty at PGDAV is the best, which I find during my 3 years at the college. It may come as a little shock to others when I'll tell you that I had over 150 students in my class but the teachers were so experienced that they were able to conduct the lecture in the way they planned. Notes were provided on time and regular internal exams were conducted. The semester exams were held every 6 months. After a particular semester was over. A regular student may not find the exams difficult.

Students of 3 years are eligible for the placements. No. of Offers made are 280+. Highest Package CTC-12.02 LPA, Average Package CTC-4.5 LPA, Median Package CTC-3.30 LPA. EY, Wipro, Amazon, Flipkart etc are Some companies who visited the campus for placement and I think 200-300 profiles were offered by them. 15-20% of the students got placed.

The fee structure varies from different colleges and on the basis of the category he or she belonged to. On average the fee ranged between 5000 to 12000. The college has various societies headed by the students with the perfect guidance of the teachers. For example, The society of the English department is "Eclectica" and The placement cell.

1. There are fests held annually in which celebrities are been invited to perform. They are held in the month of January/ February. But there are different events also held by different departments of the college. 2. The library has thousands of books. Various journals and magazines are available for the students. 4/5 newspapers are also displayed in the library for everyone to read. 3. There are different sports and games played in the college.

The University of Delhi takes admission in two ways. 1 is direct merit based. Based upon the marks scored in the 12th standard of any board. And 2nd is entrance based. The entrance exam is basically for both UG and PG courses. But when it comes to PG courses, the external exams are for those students who are graduate from different universities. They get admission into the DU PG course on the basis of their entrance marks. The DU graduate can also apply for entrance and can get admission on the basis of his/ her entrance marks. But as such no interview are been conducted.
