Remarks

Computer science engineering is one of the best courses offered by Asansol engineering college. And the faculties are one of the best in the college. I have taken admission in the college in the month of September. I have taken admission through management quota because I wanted to take admission in this college badly. Because CSE course offered by the college is one of the best in the eastern region.

Course Curriculum Overview

Because of the increasing demand for CSE course to get jobs in the best private farms that's why I have chosen this course. Student faculty ratio is also decent as the CSE batch contains 180 students and the whole batch is divided into 6 parts each are guided by a mentor which is very good. Very well established faculty as most of the teachers have PhD degrees also double masters degree which is highly appreciable. There are 2 exams per semester one mid semester and one conducted by the college.

Class Size: 95Course Fees: INR 45200 per year

Placement Experience

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Several companies visited our college for example Tcs, Wipro, Bhel, Amazon, etc and several other companies visited the college. As far as I have heard the lowest package offered is 4 lakh PA and the highest package offered is 25lakh PA. 80 to 85%. I will do the job.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think the fees are too decent for middle class family and the college also offers scholarship and education loan for needy students. Right now I have got no scholarship as I have taken admission with decent marks.

As I have taken admission in lockdown so I don't have any idea about the fest or any details of the campus in the college. Library offers books timely and has arranged to offer books in this pandemic.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
