Course Curriculum Overview
I feel the course curriculum for CSE was appropriate and very well taught till the third year or 6th semester. The seventh semester artificial intelligence wasn't well taught in class. The eighth semester subjects seemed irrelevant according to CSE. Overall the first and second semesters comprising of all the subjects are good and useful to the students.
Internships Opportunities
No i do not think our college provides internship and stipend. I was not involved in any internship programme in college.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities were worth appreciation in our college. In our year campusing happened in the month of March. Almost 20 companies came on alternate days. I was placed in Cognizant which was the first company that came on 5th march 2007. Was offered a package of 3.005 lpa.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees at our time was at par with other private institutions. We had to pay 32k every year. It was not too expensive. When compared with government colleges fees was definitely high but private college fees were almost on the same scale as ours.
Fees and Financial Aid
Not sure of any loan or advance offered by the college. I did not require any in my tenure of study. I was financed by my father for the entire term.
Campus Life
Campus life was very refreshing. the best part was even being an engineering student we were not ragged. There were many girls in our batch. Girls : boys were almost 30 : 70.
Hostel Facilities
We did not have hostel in our campus and I am not sure whether we had any hostel or not. Since Kolkata is my home town i did not need to know anything about hostel. I guess there was a hostel for nri students and students who used to commute from far away places.
Exam Structure
Exams were well conducted and invigilation was also good. Exams were not that frequent but i remember we were asked to give class tests and themarks were added in our semester marks. Lab exams used to happen at times before the semester lab exams in order to prepare us for the semester.
Faculty
Faculty was very good in the first and second semesters. Moushumi Bhattacharya who taught us C and java was my favourite teacher. Electronics laboratory facilities were also good All the laboratory faculty members were supportive and helpful Computer architecture was well taught Unix was well taught
