Remarks

The very first thing that drew my attention to this college was the atmosphere. People here are very laid back, yet perform exquisitely in all walks of life. The return on investment is genuinely astounding. The teachers are well qualified, and although there is an unhealthy air of political influence on the premises, it's nothing one should worry about. The canteen here provides decent quality food, and the classroom is air-conditioned [which is hard to imagine with the fees amounting to less than Rs 240/month. The laboratory has quality equipment for experimentation. The main issue with the college is the fact that it is quite unorganised. You're at the liberty to choose whether or not your want to do well. While the placement record is breathtaking, the examination system isn't so much. Apart from all this, the campus is surrounded by greenery and there is some event or the other going on all the time. It's an amazing and worthwhile experience worth having.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is well structured. There is a lot of subdivision associated with each topic and it leads to thorough coverage of one's knowledge base. The faculty is highly qualified, but as mentioned earlier quite unorganised and carefree. If one isn't concerned it's easy to lose themselves in the vast array of activities that you'd be engaged in. But overall, keeping what you pay in mind, it's a no-brainer and a definite yes.

Placement Experience

5

The placement here is another factor that people are very interested in. In the department of Electronics and Telecommunication, the average salary is around 10LPA while the highest goes up to as much as 32 LPA. Around 85-95% of the students get placed. Overall fantastic placement and having paid only Rs 11420 for the entire course, the Return on Investment is bold.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is defined as follows:- (As of 2019-2023 batch) Rs 2855/year resulting in a total fee of Rs 11420 for the entire 4 years course. Apart from this, if you're coming from a family with the genuine requirement from financial aid, the college does provide partial or complete scholarship to few students.

Campus Life

5

This is the main attraction of the college, to be honest. The college has an avid social life with a ton of events going on all the time. Technically events, non-technical events everything under the same hood. We have an open-air theatre called the OAT the experience of which cannot be explained with words. There is dancing there is music, there is mechanics there is robotics, there is everything that you can on the face of the earth. There are multiple playgrounds in the college. There are a total of 7 canteens, which is where most people sit down to relax over a cup of tea. There is the green zone, there is the World View. There are multiple clubs which you can enrol for, the photography club, the chess club, the literary society, the painting club, the science club, to name a few. The Sanskriti Festival and Srijan are big names when it comes to events in Kolkata. Big-time music bands like the Indian Ocean, AsWeKeepSearching, Distorted Chromosomes have performed here.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
