Entrance Preview
I took the COMEDK entrance exam to get into this college. This college was already ranked in top 10 engineering colleges in Bangalore and I had received information that the faculty members for the telcommunication course here is one among the best.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is pretty good, although it does need updating in some subjects. I study under the VTU syllabus however, and the syllabus supposedly gets updated every couple of years.d Networking.
Internships Opportunities
Nope. But you can apply for them on your own. Our college does conduct workshops and factory visits occasionally. I've done two internships, one workshop and one training course outside my college.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarships offered for students that have a good percentile. It helps if the student has been scoring well since 10th standard. Try and avail CET-SNQ, if you have been residing in Bangalore for 10 years.
Hostel Facilities
The on campus hostels for boys are pretty adequate. They are pretty sanitary too - or so the boys say. The curfew is 9pm, which most students have an issue with. The hostels for girls have really small rooms however, and the toilet facilities aren't very hygienic. The food provided is also not very good. I have had friends telling me they got food poisoning and other health problems they never faced before.
Exam Structure
There's two labs every week, usually this also means two full days. But there would be two definite half days for everyone - Saturday included. There are 3 internal exams per semester. They take the average of the two best scores. Internal exams are conducted in the beginning of every month (except the first month).
Faculty
The faculty in my college in general are pretty good. Department specific - it used to have some really amazing teachers. It still does but, they replaced some of our best teachers with amateurs. I am personally not happy about it.
