Remarks

I would just wanna say that as that " IIT's and NIT's are world class not because of the management or administration or management or faculties it is world class because of its students who took them to that level that they were ranked among the Top and became every students dream is to pursue there career starting right from from there.

Entrance Preview

I got admission into this college through OJEE 2012. At that time IIIT BH was not academically autonomous so it had to take students from the state JEE to fill up the seats in different disciples.I secured a rank of i guess around 2500 i guess i don't remember much and according to our rank we were given the opportunity to choose any branch and take admission in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I was a student of Electrical (EEE).Seriously speaking the curriculum was gruesome and we were at a disadvantage as IIIT BH itself signifies the college where IT and CSE was given much preference and people still don't know that EEE actually exist but one thing i wanna tell that till now even the college got the tagline of being a deemed college and got it rights to select students from JEE Mains ,the best ranker always go for EEE.

Internships Opportunities

Not as many as u expect IIIT BH is still at its growing stage.Yes in our batch in 2015 DELL took students for internships but eventually they were IT and CSE students and many of them got PPO. They were selected on the basis of their CGPA and then went through a telephonic interview and almost all of them were selected EEE was not even allowed to participate in this internship programme and i am not sure but as fr as i know our college don't provide internships but i heard some days back while i was in 3rd year that that some student from NIT RKL and IIT came for internships but i have no idea but college provide stipend to Ph.D and M.Tech students as per the Govt. norms.

Placement Experience

2.5

Yes, many companies come to the campus for placements as of like DELL, Incture, ITC Infotech , SAP Labs, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini these are the ones who are a regular recruiter for the college previous year almost 15 companies visited the companies and i guess almost 70% of the total students were placed .Yes in 2013 Samsung RND recuited a student from CSE and offered a package of 10lpa .And in 2015 Snapdeal took 1 student from CSE and offered a package of 15lpa and in that year itself SAP Labs took 2 student from CSE and offered a package of 9lpa. In 2016 in our batch of of my close friend Sandeep got placed in Huawei he was from ETC and was offered a package of 7.5lpa most of the higher package companies prefer IT and CSE branch in comparison for EEE and ETC students .I would say at an average 3-4.5 lpa.

College Events

2.5

In our college i guess many events used to be celebrated as of VIBES.It is an intra college event where students from different branches participated to show case there talents in singing, dancing. The biggest event i would say is the Techno -Cult fest ADVAITA which is an inter college event which happen mainly in the mid of feb. Participation i would say not that much as u expect as the IIIT Bh is still in its growing stage so it is not sponsored by big companies as u find in case of IITs .IITs techfests are of different level and i guess IIIT would take almost 10-15 years more to be up to that level.Participation is there but mostly from nearby colleges, not as u find as if like in IITs most of the participation used to be from college students itself. And most important is college management don't give much support as in sponsorship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its Expensive it is literally expensive after college got autonomous it had hiked the fees i guess i am not sure but i guess in my tenure i had to pay almost more that 5lakhs. Its way much expensive as u have expected but has increased since we got admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure whether college help in providing scholarship or not but most of the students who availed loan i guess they went specifically for the study loan provided by banks like SBI, ICICI and all i don't have much knowledge in it.

Campus Life

3.5

Diversity i would say not so bad not so good gender ratio its not bad as of u must be knowing or have heard but still i would say a kind of curricular activities i would so there is less support from college side when it comes to participating in outside competition state level or national level they don't support much in terms of sports also they don't students have to go on their own.Even in terms of robotics or dance or any field u take college is reluctant.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels are good almost 8 story building yes rooms are good and u have proper communication as well integrated lifts are their to use and for different years of students were allotted different blocks so no one would interfere both boys hostel and girls hostel are side by side. Mess i would say their are two mess so u can book your coupon online and according to your choice u can eat after seeing the menu but don't keep high hopes please guys.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumina and seniors awesome i would saw they help u to say the bitter truth that we have to struggle and what are the real world problems and they during studies in examinations and they help during placements even some have started start up and they have recruited some. Some times they help in referrals and all i would say due to friends and seniors life at IIIT BH is bit better.

Exam Structure

I would say when we use to be in 1st and 2nd year the number of classes were more and it used to be hectic .But gradually the number of classes decreases but the curriculum was bit tough and gruesome and i guess after college got autonomous in 2014 it has made few changes the syllabus and in the exam pattern. BU t still it used to be hectic.

Faculty

3

Faculties are literally cool ,which one would find as one goes semester by semester many of them encourage a lot of us to go for higher studies and for PSUs and all. But one thing is that they also give loads of work to students in comparison to other branch students. And i would say very few faculties are there who are good and take there teaching field as passionately or else for others the things go other way around i hope u understand.

Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
