Good institute great potential poor academic industry interface.

I had answered KCET, MHCET, AIEEE, GCET. I dont remember my scores. But was the best bet that time the admission process is quite transparent. The college is one of the most sought after college in Goa.

The course is a lot outdated. And now that have been working for more than 2yrs in th industry, can realize a lot that we spent time on is not needed. Similarly a lot that is currently needed isnt taught in the 4 long year curriculum. New languages and lack of practical knowledge is what students clearly lack. Nobody is confident by the end of their course. All that the students here have is great communication skills and ability to sell themselves. But internally a lot is very shallow or rather hollow! Students are even seen to have changing their streams completely after engineering here since they realize they dont really know anything of over 4yrs spent here.

No sadly no there is nothing called summer or winter internships. This is where students never get a feel of the corporate projects untill they are finally placed. You are lucky if you get through PSL for final year project else no luck through companies.

Hardly few MNCs that come. You are lucky if you are placed then. Lucky i was one amongst them. Companies that come to the campus include TCS, PSL, Tech Mahindra. The rest are all startups. The college invites such small companies who pay peanuts. 6K-8K per month also are invited. Even after all of this they do not achieve 100% placements.

Manthan a grand cultural event that happens every year. This events includes dance performances, ramp walks, singing, battle of bands and a lot more. There are also a lot of inter department tech events organized every department gets an opportunity to host such event. Apart from cultutal and technical, sports activities are also carried out on the campus. The Agnel ground is where most of them happen.

Expensive my time i paid close to 4L for the entire course. Accordingly there arent many companies who come to the campus to measure your ROI. The college doesn't lacks industry connect to facilitate us with live projects and internships which are a must during the engineering.

Not that i know of i am not very sure if the college has any such facility. But Goa govt gives edu loan and has good schemes independent of the institute.

Good infrastructure the college has good amount of Labs, computers and required technology in place gender ratio was good. But lack of diversity 90% are goans. Doesn't really help with different perspectives since everyone are brought up in the similar way having similar thinking. So everyone is almost on the same page, there is absolutely no diversity giving a similar feel of a higher secondary. Either there are no applicants from outside state or the college has a quote for goans, not sure.

There is no proper hostel that is allotted to peace as such not are there so many outsiders. The college doesn't really seem to have the need of having a dedicated hostel. The college has a canteen within the campus. The caterer keeps changing and so is the food taste and quality. There are some eatout places like Monginis, Leos, Willys around. A good juice center called Fruitilicious.

There is an alumni meet that happens apart from that i personally haven't received any mail or communication ever since i have left the campus at least. While i was on the campus also haven't seen many alumni coming and connecting. Hardly any so am not sure if industry connect through alumni network is encouraged or carried out.

Exam system is good well spread across the semesters. Exams are very strict, which is good papers are corrected very strictly achieving a score of 60% with all clear was like a victory the exam times are tough but there is good amount ot PL given for students to study and cope up.

ME students passout and become teachers here.. Not even 50% of the class is able to code by the end of engineering. Not that students aren't of the quality. But teachers can do a better job. There are a v few teachers who are really good and are also the ones who are always upfront to help. The rest try and create a school like feeling wherein they are strict and follow discipline but lack content.
