Being an alumni, i would say that the college is an awesome amalgamation of academics and fun though 100% perfection is not possible, but i would say that being associated with pec gave me the best moments of my life.

AIEEE air 6496 best govt engineering college in north india with good faculty, environment & facilities, culture and opportunities.

Course curriculum was good with a focus on research the course structure was designed in a manner that beside theoretical, student should get hands on with practical experience also for whatever has been studied apart from academics, there are technical societies (internal) and national/international, through which we can portray our technical work and get groomed by various technical activities.

Many reputed organizations comes to the college every year for campus recruitment apart from offering jobs to the final year students, few companies also provides internship offers to 3rd year students because as per the college curriculum, every student entering into 6th semester has to spend the complete semester duration associating himself/herself with an organization to get industry experience few companies like alstom, microsoft, mckinsey, etc provides stipend to the trainee students selected.

College provides ample job opportunities to their students. around 300 companies comes to the campus for recruitment from various domains and gets the best brains for their organization out of total headcount of ~600 students, nearly 550 students were placed in their dream companies with handsome packages.

There are a number of events which happens in the college during the whole year besides studies, student will get ample time to groom by engaging themselves in various extra-curricular activities. many clubs & societies are created by the students like music, dramatics, dance, debate, photography, robotics, sports, daniels, les-amis, etc besides these clubs, two major college fests are organized every year, one cultural fest - pecfest and technical fest.

Fee structure is not burdening as compared to other colleges across the nation. being a govt. aided university, lots of subsidies are provided to the college which makes the college fee structure very much affordable for everyone, academic fee ~ 40000/sem, hostel fee ~ 50000/year.

"two types of scholarships are provided by the college, on merit basis - this is provided to the students whose performance is outstanding for that particular year, merit-cum-means basis - this is provided to the student whose performance is good and whose family income is less than 1 lpa.

Gender ratio is average in the college. talking about the diversity, students from various regions of the country comes here to study this diversity gives a unique environment to the college where student from different regions stay together and shares the best moments of their life. after staying for 4 years, every student makes a unique bond of friendship with each other.

There are 4 boys hostel (1 for each year students) and 1 girls hostel in the college each hostel contains enough number of rooms that no student has to go outside to rent out a room in a pg to stay each student gets an individual room every year, on the basis of first come first serve basis which is spacious enough for a single person to stay. each room has a single bed, a cupboard and study table & chair for the student mess food quality is good enough, a student co-ordinator is given the responsibility to prepare the mess menu and check the quality of the food served.

The alumnus of the college are very helpful as there is a alumni committee of the college which get-together every year to share and relive their college days with all their friends during that alumni meet, students can visit them and make good connections with them. also, the alumni committee gives scholarship to a student whose performance is outstanding during the college course.

Exam structure is very well designed by college with a focus that every student should be tested with the knowledge provided to them during numerous lectures delivered during the semesters exam was not designed to put too much of pressure onto the students, as exams are not meant to check the student's potential in pressure situations, it's meant to check the knowledge of the students.

College faculty was good and co-operative, easily reachable in case of any need, whether related to studies or our own projects many professors are always ready to help out students to involve them in some research work which would be a technical learning for them, also, they are always helpful in taking out time for them in case we need them at crucial times.
