Remarks

SRCC is the premier most commerce college in India. Infrastructure, Faculty, Activities, Placements etc all are there for all-round development of a student. One negative aspect of SRCC may be that sometimes a student may feel pressurized due to the heat of competitiveness here. Admission for my batch began around mid August and continued till November. Our session began on 18th November last year. There is no doubt upon the quality of education that one receives is a part of SRCC. No other college is above SRCC for Bcom(Hons) in entire India. So, anyone who is able to get admission here, shouldn't go anywhere else.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Bcom(Hons) at SRCC provides you with the required theoretical as well as practical knowledge to excel in the field of commerce. We are provided with Skill Enhancement Courses as well as specialisation in our 3rd year. The faculty-Student Ratio should be around 1:20. Almost all the professors are PHD holders from reputed foreign and national institutes. Exams are being held in OBE format since the advent of COVID19. As such, Bcom(Hons) at Delhi University isn't really hard. One can manage it with a little focus on studies.

Internships Opportunities

4

Placement Cell has a very robust CV Vetting process where they streamline our interests and achievements so that we could get the best internships. Companies providing internship opportunities include those coming for placements and some other famous names such as HUL, Goldman Sachs, AT Kerney etc. College throughout the year offers short term courses on the latest in demand skills to its students. Overall, getting an internship from the college is a very smooth and efficient process.

Placement Experience

4

Students from the 5th semester onwards are eligible for Campus Placements. A plethora of companies visit the campus to hire the students of our colleges. These include Consulting Giants such as Mckinsey, BCG and Bain&Co, Big Four Accounting Firms, Top Private Banks such as ICICI, Standard Chartered as well as many other small startups.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are around Rs 30,000 pa for Bcom(Hons) at SRCC. Fee hikes are rare and even if done, they wouldn't be extranormal as SRCC functions under Delhi University which is a Central Government funded University. The college provides Need Based Scholarship to the desirable students who pass the interview process for the scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

SRCC conducts a lot of fests and events throughout the year. CROSSROADS, Annual Fest of SRCC is the most popular fest of Delhi University with a footfall of more than 10,000 students. SRCC Business Conclave is another famous fest of our colleges where leaders of Business World including the likes of Sundar Pichai, Mukesh Ambani, Naveen Jindal etc speak and motivate the students. College provides a lot of sports opportunities to its students. We have a big open ground, basketball courts, a multipurpose indoor stadium and a swimming pool too. College also has many societies ranging from Debate to Dance to Music to Social Work etc. All your interests would be catered by these societies. For further information about all the societies, you can look into the college website that is srcc.edu for a better understanding.

Other Applied Colleges

Shaheed Sukhdev College Of Business Studies | BBA(FIA)

Because SRCC has a better brand value than SSCBS and it is located at more prominent location within Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
