Educational Experience at BIT.

As far as i am concerned i don't feel any bad remarks on my college. They have very good Educational and cultural structure. College got very good reputation in the society. The management is very good. They support students very well. Whatever is needed they will do it immediately.

CET and I had the option of Telecommunication and Instrumentation branch during my counselling for BIT. What i heard from my seniors and relatives that selecting branch doesn't matter if the college is reputed and good. So i had to choose Instrumentation Technology as the fee structure for that course was less compared to the other as there was some reservation on particular cases (Kannada Medium) .That's what is true. Admission process was smooth. you need to pay CET fees plus the college fee that is even not too much. College fees is less compared to other colleges.

Instrumentation Technology now it revised to Electronics and Instrumentation as it is the sub branch of Electronics and communication. Instrumentation Technology mainly deals with Control System and Instrumentation Transducers and it includes most of the courses from electronics and communication. As Instrumentation Technology student we study about Control system , Transducers, Aircraft Instruments, Logic Design , Controllers, Embedded Systems etc.The elective subjects are C++, Network analysis for those are interested in Computers . When it comes research you will have wide range of options to select like you can do your masters on VLSI, Embedded, Control System (Which is highly recommended), Transducers etc.

When i was in college they were not giving any internship but they used to refer to outside organisation for the students. But they used arrange so many seminars, Courses and session for the student.

Placements were very good in our college.That is the most important thing in our college. They were so concerned about the placements. There were almost 70+ companies used visit our college . in Our batch from the college 500+ students got in placed in various companies.Companies visited our college were Google, MicroChip, Akkamai, Adobe, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, IBM, Fiedility, Cognizant, Bosch, HP , Benz, Volvo, Vokogawa, ACT,Toyota, Capegemini, Johnson and Control, Mind Tree many top companies. They offered from 10LPA to 2.85LPA

Bangalore Institute of Technology Celebrates a fest called Manthan its like big festival for students which will be held for 3 days. Every student of the college used to involve in the successful of fest. They used celebrities from different field like Bollywood, Sandalwood stars , Musicians, Cricketers, Politicians RJ's. During our fest so many internal competition would happen like technical competition , Sports etc. Our college celebrates Ganesha festival for 3 days. During ganesha festival they will provide food. They will celebrate Ramanavami distributing panaka and Kosambari. As college is part of Vokkaligara sanga so many management festivals used to happen.

Our College fees is very less compared to the other colleges. We just need to 9000rs for the college fees with the CET Fees. 9000rs is used to spilt up like tuition fees is 7000 and sports and maintenance 2000. And gradually the college fees used to decries from year to year. When it come to my case during my first year i paid 27000 (18000+9000), second year i paid 23000(15000+8000),third year i paid 21000(15000+6000) and forth year as well i paid 21000. Our college have scholarship schemes also for the eligible students.

Yes there are scholarships available from our college. As it is maintained by the Vokkaligara sanga they used to give scholarship fro their cast people and also they have scholarship scheme from the government for other students. I got scholarship of 40000 as 10000 per month from the government. The scholarship depends on the eligibility like Caste (OBC) and people who scores more than 70%. There is loan facility for the fee payment. You can pay it in installments.

Bangalore Institute technology has very less area of campus but still the campus is very good. There were equal number of students when it comes to gender. Students from all over India were there. The extracurricular were too good. They have cricket, football, Vollyball, Hockey teams which will represent inter college and university level competition. Labs are well equipped . They are used modern instruments. They so many workshops on Embedded systems, robotics, Hacking were happening in our college. Students from our college were used to participate in many debate competitions all over the country. College maintains a discipline from the students in order to avoid any harassment as such. They celebrate ethnic days to show case our culture. BIT conducts placement training to their students to get placed in good companies.

Yes Hostel seats were limited first come first serve basis. Hostel rooms were sharing (two students in one room). Hostel was good. They maintain hygiene, Food was good weekly twice they used to serve non veg. They provide hot water and wi-fi for the students. They have TV and 2-3 different news papers is also available. But the hostel fees was bit much i think its around 80-90 thousand. So when hostel seats were not available students used to go for PG's there are so many PG's available near our college. They Charge from 5-10 thousand depends on the facility they provide.

Yes seniors were very helpful. They used to give their study books to their juniors. They give suggestion on how to get placed. Bangalore institute of Technology has separate alumni department where they maintain all the details of their students. they celebrate alumni day by inviting all the old students.

As our college was affiliated with Visveswaraya Technological University so exams were conducted according to their guidance. Exams were bit hectic but the lad exams were bit of chilled out. If u have done all the experiments properly during your lad time you can easily do your lad exams. Written exams was like out of eight 20 marks questions you need to answer for any 5 question which is equivalent to 100 marks. Total marks were 125 each subject including internal 25 marks. We used to have 3 internal exams average of best two would be considered for 25 marks. In the final year we would have project which is for 150 (100 External and 50 Internal) and seminar for 50 marks.

During our first two years the subjects are common to all the branches so the faculties were experts in their subjects. fist year subjects were basics to all the branches so the lecturers are from the respective branch. Most of the lecturers in our college are PHD holders and well expertise in their field. When it comes to Instrumentation Technology the lecturers are so knowledgeable and helpful. Most of the lecturers used to research on the topic before coming to the class. They used to provide the study materials from their research.
