Remarks
College management is too strict sometimes, unecessarily rest the college is good, both for nii college life, and post college boasting.
Entrance Preview
Exam taken: CAT Score achieved: 80.2 percentile Reason of choosing i over other options available: Brand Name of "Birla" College's form has to be filled, once percentile arrives. then based on the cut-offs, a GD-PI selection letter is sent to the eligible students. then the GD-Pi are held in the college campus is NOIDA on the same day.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of operations stream is good, if research is the focus of the student. rather operations research is a separate subject that is taught in detail, including the methods and techniques, etc. apart from that subjects like Supply chain management, logistics and statistics are dealt in detail. Linear Programming faculty is good, that's a pus.
Internships Opportunities
No internship for operations at least has to be arranged with your own contacts, cold calling, or ride with any resourceful friend. College makes efforts but not sufficient.
Placement Experience
Placement options are good if you are from marketing. Other stream used to struggle to get good placements the average salary they offer will be on the average or lower side of what you can get from IMT-Nagpur, etc. Companies that come are many, and big ones like Infy and TAta, Jindal, etc are there.
College Events
Name an event and you have it. every thing from navrathre to janmashtami, to onam and pongal, everything is celebrated apart from that, business events re also there and fests of course are celebrated every year talent shows n all are also celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible if you compare the management fee structure with thers. otherwise you will feel its expensive all in all, the additional fees for food and logging was worth it, good facilities, and safe hostels. etc were there fees had to be submitted by yearly or qurterly. tution fee was high though.
Fees and Financial Aid
Education loan facility was available to students. scholarships though, not so much the loans also was like the colleges do a tie up with the banks, nothin offered from teh college part.
Campus Life
College life was fun, sometimes boring but good. diversity was good. some exchange students, many bengalis and loads of southindians, so good on diversity gender ratio was more or less balanced loads of extracurricular clubs, enterpreneurship, food and canteen management, finance, eco club, discipline, sports, creativity, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Food was good is you consider variety, but obviously hostel canteen food sucks no non-veg-drinks or smoking on campus. its a sin there. so be aware of that lot of rules are there ofcourse. everything fine though till not caught for something. if yes, then you are screwed.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini network is not that strong. not that helpful also i have been involved in calling a lot of them in placement season on behalf of the college, but not much turnout though.
Exam Structure
Days were generally chilled out. but in MBA you cannot really chill out until unless you are wired to do so. its very competitive not much assignments though. ya there were many assignments nut group ones, so not much load. just build a good rapport with teachers and you will sial through easily.
Faculty
Faculty was highly qualified. and if in house the faculty for a certain subject, or even a topic in a certain subject is not available external faculty sessions are arranged. like our logistics external faculty was the Asia head of Dominos. Go figure our economics professor, full time, was economic advisor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, when he was India's PM.
