Good: Collage and hostel environment is really awesome for study and enjoyment both. Bad: 60-70 KM from Kolkata City. But Local train facility is good.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination(WBJEE) is a state-government controlled test, conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission to many private and governmental medical and engineering institutions in West Bengal. The test is taken after the 12th grade for admission to graduation (also known as Bachelors) courses. Papers consist of 80 MCQ type question divided in two section. Section one consists of 60 MCQs of 1 marks each and Section two consists of the remaining 20 MCQs of 2 marks each. Negative marking is applicable. 30% of the total marks of a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Course curriculum for collage and university is good. The competitive environment within higher education makes recruitment and retention of outstanding faculty a critical issue and growing challenge. Extra classes for campus drives is also provided like Aptitude and technical classes for software subjects like C, DS, JAVA etc. Faculty for this is also experienced and helpful.

As per 2014 pass out batch collage do not provide any internship for students. But it provide extra classes for various subject like Android, networking etc which is helpful in future.

Collage try full to provide good placement environment to its students. Extra classes for campus drives is also provided like Aptitude and technical classes for software subjects like C, DS, JAVA etc. Faculty for this is also experienced and helpful.

A lot of technical and cultural festivals is organised by the collage authorises. Students take apart very actively in the organisation of the events.Well designed Auditorium centrally air-conditioned auditorium with an accommodation capacity of 400 and equipped with all necessary facilities.

Collage provide scholarship for student according there academic performance. Active assistance to avail educational loans from nationalized banks. Financial assistance from various Government and Non Government Organisations. Scholarship/ Stipend from Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal for SC/ ST/ OBC students. Education Loan from West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation for students from Minority Community. Scholarship/ Stipend from different Central Government Organisations. Railway Concession for all eligible students.

Gender ratios(M/F):60/40, Student/Dorm Parties:No, Workshops:Good Workshop environment, Good Cultural societies and Student diversity and tolerance with regards to gender do not have any issue. No issue for ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. 0% ragging. Collage is very active on ragging. Overall good environment.

In campus boys hostel for 300 students with internet connectivity for every hostel resident. Separate Girls hostel also available. All resident students are required to become members of the hostel mess. Mess food for both is totally managed by student. So there is no any issue with the food quality.

A good alumni network combining seniors and juniors for both collage and hostel. Hostel environment is really awesome. Separate sports and culture festivals is also organised in hostel.

Exam structure for AOT is a lot different from other colleges of same university. 3 internal exams for theory papers and also 1 internal exam for practical is conducted apart from 1-1 external exam per semester. But the it is organised properly. You will not fell it to be hectic.

Faculty for each subject is good and experienced. Teaching Style is also very nice and clear.The total number and percentage of faculty with PhD are relatively higher at AOT than any other private engineering college of West Bengal. At present 32 faculty members of our total faculty are PhD and 16 faculty members are pursuing PhD.
