Remarks

The admission process was conducted online due to the pandemic therefore it was quite simple for us to apply for any college. there was no first come first serve policy. I being a fresher got many offers but I decided to choose Dyal Sigh College as this college is one of the top 25 colleges of Delhi University. College is ranked in the top 12 in FU. It has been ranked 21st all over India in the National Institutional Framework in 2020. This college provides the best quality education. This college provides good placement opportunities in companies like KPMG, PWC, EY, etc. I being a fresher was also unaware of what college is good in terms of education, placements, friendly campus, faculty, societies, etc. Therefore I researched various websites including collegedunia. The commerce faculty of this college is one of the top 15 at the University of Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty of commerce is good. In this challenging situation, teachers stick to their timetables and teach us with the help of ppt and pdf of books. Since the classes are conducted through online mode therefore students tend to make indiscipline and teachers handle it really well. From my point of view, teachers are dedicated to this system therefore the faculty is good.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 13005 per year

Placement Experience

The students get emails regarding the internships from the second semester onwards (in my case). More than 50% of students get placed in highly reputed corporations. Dyal Singh College attracts many large corporations. Companies like KPMG, Pwc, Deloitte, EY are the recruiters of the college. This college has one of the most active placements among the colleges of Delhi University therefore the number of students who get placed is high. The college is really good for students from commerce background mainly.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it's a government college, therefore, fees are fine, and there is an additional cost of living in PGs as the college does not provide a hostel facility. The placement cell of the college is really active so students get emails from various companies from time to time. Also, the stipend offered by the companies seems satisfactory for a 2 or 3 months internship.

Campus Life

Since I have attended my classes through online mode only, therefore, I have no information about the infrastructure of the college but I have heard that the sports club is not that great in the college but on the other hand, the placement cell is really good.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I have applied for I have applied for few of the north campus colleges and few other colleges from the South campus. I got confirmed admission form DCAC. I chose it because I am a tabla player and music society is very good. The admissions are generally accepted to CUET UG examination. No I didn't applied for any other college and I choose this college over other college because of the course and the exposure which I get in this college it might be possible I will not get in any other college.
