JIMS KALKAJI COLLEGE REVIEW

Jims Kalkaji ranks 4th in the top BBA colleges of IPU university. Since I didn't have Maths with commerce in 12th grade IPU university colleges were the best option for me. The good aspects of my college are that the teachers are very motivating and encouraging, there are a lot of competitions, webinars going on and a lot of societies are formed which gives anyone a great exposure. The campus is very short and if the person is joining college for the campus don’t then. It's located 10 minutes away from the Kalkaji market so eating out after college or hanging out with friends isn't an issue. There is 2 metro station only 5 min away from the college so the transportation is very feasible. The admission process requires an entrance test for the BBA course that is IPU CET which is every year after board exams. You can check the dates of CET which are yet to be released by the IPU university.

I wanted to pursue management and since I didn’t have maths in 12th IPU university was the best option as we can do BBA without maths here. BBA course curriculum includes 6 subjects in each semester so a total of 36 subjects in 3 years. The faculty of Jims is very friendly and helpful, the teachers are ready to help the students whenever needed and provide a lot of new opportunities to learn and grow. The teachers teach pretty well and you can understand if you listen carefully. Since my midterm exams for the 1st semester were online they were pretty simple for me. The exams aren’t that tough if you have covered the major and important topics. The exam online was (BBA course)of 1.5 HR MCQ based 60 questions.

The college offers amazing internship opportunities after the 1st year. For eg., a senior of mine got an internship at Tanishq with a stipend of 15k per month. The average salary after placement after BBA is 3-4 lakhs per annum.

The students become eligible in the 3rd year for placements. And mostly the students go for placement and jobs after their post-graduate. It was witnessed a placement for 114 students out of 120 in the 2020 graduating batch. There are approximately 157 companies visited. The highest package was around 17.5 lakh and the average was 6-8 lakh. My plans after getting this graduate degree are the go for postgraduate.

Since it is a private institution the fees are approximate 108000 per year. There is a financial assistance scheme for the reserved category (st/sc/obc etc) which will be mailed and informed by the college after admission.

IPU university has its annual fest called ANUGOONJ and there is an Intra Jims fest also called ZEST held every year. They are approximately conducted at the end of the year only. The classrooms are adequate and clean there is ac in the classrooms. Unfortunately, sports is an issue since our college doesn’t have a ground but for practices and all, we go to other colleges or grounds. There are many societies of the college including dance, theatre, music, entrepreneurship cell, debating, NSS/ROTARACT club, Placement society etc.
