Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College is one the best evening college at the University of Delhi and the main reason behind choosing this college is it was a well-known college for commerce in Delhi university. SBSEC (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening ) is ranked 34th top college among 100 Colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (MHRD) in 2017. So you never feel disrated for being in this college. The admission procedure for this college is the same as every college of Delhi university used to have there will be a common form of University of Delhi which you have to fill and submit with a fee of 250 (for general) and at some specified date cut off were announced and those who matched they win.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this college for the exposure they give and the opportunity they create for their students. Sbsec has a decent crowd with most no of students for BCom and BCom(Hons) with a student and teacher ratio of 99:2 there was 7 section of BCom in the entire campus. All the faculty of SBSEC are qualified and experienced. Most of the teacher are phd and have a masters degree. They provide knowledge from bookish to practical one that's what I like the most in my teacher's. The term exam of SBSEC are as per guidelines issued by the University of Delhi there was a total of 6 semesters in overall 3 years and semester exam are used to be held every 6 months from the date of commencement of the session or semester and the exam question paper were designed by University of Delhi examination department and the exam paper is same for every college of Delhi university (like the paper of BCOM is same for our college and others college too). Talking about the difficulty it keeps on rising from semester to semester.

The scholarship under this college is as per the University of Delhi when you get into this college and after a period of 2-3 months after admission, the University of Delhi issues a notice about various scholarships they offer for Delhi based students and non-delhi too and accordingly you have to choose with the respective terms and conditions scholarship is based upon your merit in 12th and also on your family income.

Campus Life

5

Life at SBSEC is fantastic and to be honest, am blessed to choose this college over others and even you won't regret getting into it. The college organises various fest throughout the year and they used to invite famous singer star's for their performance and is all done by the societies of SBSEC. The SBSEC has a decent library with good air conditioning and well collection of books. The college has a big ground at the back of the campus and they have a court for both basketball as well as badminton and even has a cricket ground the SBSEC has its own cricket team which used to take part in a program organised by the University of Delhi. Talking about the classroom, classes of SBSEC are well conditioning and big with wooden benches arranged in a beautiful design. Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
