Remarks

Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College For Women has a good infrastructure and attractive too. I choose this college because of its infrastructure and extracurricular activities as it has so many extracurricular activities happens. SPM has 112+ well-furnished classrooms, 7 seminar halls, and so many labs and gyms. It has so many societies which enhance students' skills and appreciate them doing well.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

SPMC gas various undergraduate courses in Humanities and Commerce along with post-graduate courses in Humanities streams. The College also offers professional courses- B.Ed & B.El.Ed. SPM is among the few colleges of the University of Delhi to have a B.Ed. course outside the Central Institute of Education (CIE), University of Delhi. The Student-Faculty ratio is 1:5. The faculty of the college is very responsible and helpful. They are making every possible effort to make a class valuable. Even if it is an online mode, they are handling it very well as they clear every single doubt of every student.

Internships Opportunities

5

My college offers so many placements but still, it is mainly for third-year students as they are comparatively higher level inexperienced. Most recent - Placement cell of spmc offers jobs like work from home for Maynta and MobiKwik.

Placement Experience

5

Spmc offers a lot of placement packages. Almost 80% of students get placement packages upto 7 - 8 lakhs. Some famous companies which recently provide placements in college are Myntra, MobiKwik, Amazon, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

SPMC has set the fee standard on very low compared to other colleges but still provide many facilities even better than those colleges that have very high college fees. I paid 9865 rs. for my b.com prog. Course. Campus provide so many scholarship programme which has a proper description is available on the site of spam.du.ac.in . This college offers many job opportunities from time to time recently it offers work from home jobs in myntra and MobiKwik.

Campus Life

4.5

As it is online mode this time so I don't go to college many times but still I visited there 3- 4 times. It has 112+ classrooms, 7 labs, a huge auditorium, and gym facilities. There is a separate functioning area for societies. Spmc has so many societies. The official page of spm societies is available on Instagram. Some of them are THIRKAN (dance) - @thirkanclassical_spmc and @thirkan_dance_crew NAVRANG (theatre) - @navrangspmdu

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
