IMT Nagpur Review

The college is best for Marketing PGDM and finance PGDM but not as good for other MBA majors. The 27-acre campus is a lush green beauty and it is alive with students and peers organizing various programs throughout the year. The admission process is smooth with your group discussion first and then a personal interview. A good avg. the package provided and the campus life provided in comparison with other colleges is the reason I chose this college.

IMT Nagpur is well known for its PGDM Marketing Course. With a good placement provided by the college in big companies, it's an obvious choice for me to choose this college. There are quite a good number of highly experienced ex-IIM & ex-XLRI faculties for the strength of 350 students. The flip classroom program of the Harvard model gives you a unique type of classroom learning compared to traditional techniques. Exams are divided in 6 semester pattern with 3 semesters each year.

Many big companies and firms visit for providing internship offer along with good amount of stipend and pre-placement offer. The job roles provided by them are also quite good. Major stipends are provided to finance students

The placements provided by the college are decent. Big firms visit campus for recruitments and hiring. The highest package is up to 17 LPA and the lowest is 5.5 LPA. But avg. packages lie near 8.5 to 9 LPA. All the students in the batch get placed. More than 120 companies visit for placement and internships.

The fee is 12lac for 2 years including mess and hostel. It may rise this year. College also provides you Foreign Student exchange program but you have to pay more for it if you opt for it and only if you are eligible. Avg. the package is around 8LPA which is decent. It can go highest till 14 LPA and lowest 5 LPA.

The campus life is vibrant with high student diversity. There are many committees, 6 Academic forums, and 6 student ventures to join for other than studies. IMT Nagpur provided a huge library and online learning material resources for your studies. Sports is the heart of IMT Nagpur. Many events are organized by the IMT sports committee throughout the year. All the forums and committees are run by students for the student with very minimum faculty intervention.

The hostel rooms at IMT Nagpur are quite big enough divided into 4 blocks of buildings. It provides you a bed, big cupboards, a table, a drawer table, a foamed chair, a fan, and a LED tube light. Laundry and saloon/parlor are provided. Clean and hygienic washrooms also provided on each floor. Mess food is delicious and provides 4 times meals in a day.

I faced the Group activity round and then the PI round. The topic of GD was relevant to current affairs, general awareness, and the economical condition of India. PI questions were mostly based on personal attributes and resume. To get a GDPI call, you must score above 78%tile in CAT/XAT and above 90%tile in CMAT.
