Remarks
Placements and the quality of education provided are quite good here. The infrastructure of some departments is not quite good as per the fees given. The admission here takes place through the Comed-K examination and it consists of 2 rounds (as of the year 2019). Since the college resides in the centre of the city and is amongst the top 5 colleges in Bangalore, so there's not a reason to choose or go below this level.
Course Curriculum Overview
ECE is an evergreen course and I have an interest in that field from my PU level so I prefer to choose that course over any other branch. The faculty-student ratio is 40:60. The quality of teaching is really good as almost all teacher try to make us understand the concepts at their best. There are 3 internals (one internal every month) and one-semester end exams. Paper comes not that tough. Its level is easy to moderate.
Placement Experience
Some companies arrive in college during 6th sem so the students are eligible to participate from 6th or 7th sem. Many companies are visiting every year including high paying startups, such as Amazon, Microsoft, Urban Clap etc. The average package resides between 5.5 lac - 6 lac. The highest package up to date is 30 Lacs/annum. Almost 85% of students get placed. After my degree, I would like to do something from which I could earn and become independent. I have no plans to study further.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are really high and it's not that worth it for some students who don't put efforts into themselves. Some scholarships are given but mostly it is only for castes like OBC and SC and ST. On-campus placements are good if you put in efforts.
Campus Life
Campus life is good as the campus is very beautiful full of greenery and some awesome auditoriums. The CPA is the annual fest that is conducted normally during the month of Oct-Nov and E-Summit is the tech fest which is organized in the month of January-Feb. The DSCE college library is one of the finest libraries in colleges across India, it consists of almost every kind of book. Classrooms are not kind of too fancy it's like a normal school classroom. The campus has a sports ground to play Football and Cricket and a badminton court to play Badminton and also a Gym. IEDC is the club formed by a group of alumni of DSCE where students come and showcase or present their ideas in front of the team leaders.
