Remarks

John Minichillo has patched together a university teaching career with part-time gigs at various colleges for the past fifteen years. He represents the thousands of short-term university faculty who work without job security for low salaries because they believe, perhaps naively, that what they do is important.

Entrance Preview

CAT score was 56 %. Because I want to go in finance admission process is very simple & currently there is no interview being taken for admissions.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course structure is quite good as it gives immense knowledge of taxation policy of the country. The various changes that comes up in the budget. Also it gives Knowledge regarding accountancy & costing of companies.A very good curriculum with various interesting topics to be learnt about.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides great opportunities and an amazing platform to grow and develop your skills. Exposure is great and ROI is good. Faculty is decent. Overall, a good choice if you don't get through top IIM's, XLRI, SP Jain, MDI or TISS. Facilities provided by the college are good. Infrastructure is decent with few issues regarding hostel infrastructure for boys.

Placement Experience

3.5

Where can I find work placements work placements can provide an invaluable insight into the working world. Find out how a placement could benefit you and enhance your studies. The important thing about work placements is that they provide an opportunity for you to get to grips with working - meeting deadlines and working in a team. While a placement may enhance your knowledge and help with your course, it can also help you find out more about a job or industry, leading to more informed decisions upon graduation.

College Events

4.5

Celebrations are the most extravagant. Along with different academic, cultural and sports fests, numerous celebrations such as Teachers Day, Eureka, Traditional Day, etc add colour to the life here. Celebrations also bring students, faculty and staff together for exchange of thoughts and minimize the student-teacher hierarchy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible & not very expensive.Generally there are different fee structure for different quota students & also there are various types of scholarships & concessions given.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is a boon for students, belonging to the weaker sections of the society, who are unable to further their education for some reason or the other. Scholarship is an incentive as well as encouragement for students, who are talented, but do not have the means to study further. There are a variety of scholarships – merit-based, need-based, student-specific, career-specific, and college-specific. The Ministry offers National as well as External Scholarships to the needy students.

Alumni/Alumna

As the largest dues-paying alumni association in the world, the Penn State Alumni Association is an international community. Executive director of the Penn State Alumni Association, Roger Williams, said that 140 chapters of alumni exist in cities across the country, giving alumni an automatic professional and social network." How doesn't that make sense? It's pretty cut and dry. There are over 145,000 active members of the alumni association. It's a powerful entity.

Exam Structure

Management Aptitude Test or MAT, as it is popularly known is conducted 4 times a year (in February, May, September & December) by the Centre for Management Services (CMS) division of All India Management Association (AIMA). It is conducted in both paper pencil as well as computer based modes. The application form for MAT is available for Rs. 1200.

Faculty

4

Faculty here are encouraged to reflect on their practices and engage in the assessment of teaching and learning. The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment supports faculty assessment by participating in faculty development institutes and workshops and awards mini-grants for faculty assessment. Many of the projects listed below were funded by Institutional Research.

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
