Entrance Preview
I wrote GGSIPU Common Entrance Exam and qualified the same with about some 4000 rank. I got admission in MSIT in the first counselling but in the second counselling. I upgraded to MAIT as it was near to my home as compared to MSIT. Moreover, I got my favourite branch as an option as well. So that's how I landed into this college as no other options were favourable for me at that time.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very huge, mostly theoretical without imparting any practical knowledge. The same subject was repeated thrice during 8 semesters. In different forms. viz. Software engineering then as Object oriented S/w engineering and then finally as Requirements Elicitation and Techniques. First year is common to all the streams and they teach general topics like applied maths, applied physics, etc. From second year onwards, the curriculum gets specialised but with no practical trainings.
Internships Opportunities
No companies came for internship. There was an exam held for Microsoft internship which we came to know just a day before.
Placement Experience
The only thing that can be appreciated is the placement opportunities. Many companies ranging from small scale to mid scale to large scale companies came offering packages from 1.5 lpa to 8-9 lpa. The companies sector varies from Practo to ZS associates to Accenture, Infosys, Cvent,Hike,etc.
College Events
Only one fest is celebrated during whole academic year which is just for formality. Celebrity nights are usually the worst that can happen. Some cultural activities like Hawan pooja on the start of a new session takes place and some other traditional functions usually takes place as well. Sports day is also celebrated once a year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is as good as any other B.tech college present. It costed around 1 lac per academic year as tuition fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, during the start of a new academic session they provide laptops to the students based on merit. Students having 95% in XII boards would get it for free. Those in 90-95% range would get it at 50% price. Those in 75-80% would get it for 25% off. Also, the university rank holders were provided with certificates in an annual ceremony.
Exam Structure
Well. the exam schedule is the most hectic as anyone can imagine. We have exams every month, loads of assignments to be completed and submitted(although copy and pasted) leaving you nowhere. You can't study nor improve your skills.
