Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because it has a wide variety of knowledge including most of the practical knowledge and the foreign internship and placement it provides. It does maintain a good faculty and student ratio. For 700 students in a batch they provide over 100 faculties. It has 5-6 teachers for every subject in the course . And it is taught by different tutors including tutors from different branches of the institution . The qualifications of the faculty are very much highly rated . Most of them are from H.M background and are qualified with the degree of MSc and M.a in hospitality . Many teachers are qualified with West level 3 which is the most prestigious award in spirits and wines. Some of the teachers are also alumni of the college so it is a huge advantage for the students . The term exams are timed from 6 months . Each semester has 2 term exams including theory and practical . So 3 years to 6 term exams. The term exam was not so difficult if one follows the class regularly.
Internships Opportunities
I was offered Placement in Angsana Balaclava in Mauritius as a Bartender . The Indian companies which offer internships are Taj group, Heritage hotels like Uday villas, JW Marriott , Accor Hotels, and Foreign internship in countries like USA , Mauritius. Seychelles , France , UAE . The stipends depend on the property and country . The maximum stipend is offered in United States , followed by France , Mauritius , UAE. Indian stipends are very low like 1k - 3k but the experience is nice . The projects involved in an internship are scored good marks in all the departments for 6 months , gain huge work experience complete a project about the internship . The internship occurs during the 2 nd year and it is considered as the 3 rd semester so it is very important to do well in internships
Placement Experience
Placements are one of the highlighted factors of this college .It always maintains a record of 100% placements . From 3rd semister students are eligible for placements .They are trained in 3 rd year for interviews through the process of mock interviews and personality enhancing class. There were multiple companies such as JW Marriott , Taj Group , Oberoi group , Accor hotels , Ritz Carlton , Hilton , And multi speciality restaurant such as chillis , barbeque nation , and many more . The packages offered depends on the student how well they performe during interview. The highest package are offered by Oberoi group in India with a CTC of 3.6-4 lakhs , and outside the country by Hilton hotels are 5-7 lakhs . The average packages are offered is 2-3 lakhs by Taj group , Oberoi etc. The placement percentage is 95-100. My plans are to get a job as a Bartender in a reputed 5 star hotel.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure States as 1,98,000 for the course of B.S.C per year . With this one also get B.A in tourism degree from IGNOU University . For opting for the UWL degree from the University of West London in the third year one has to pay more 55000 . There is no such hike policy and hidden cost in the fee structure but it is still on the expensive side per year compared to other colleges . The scholarship one get is during the admission time that depends on the HS marks of the student . The basic 15% scholarship is given if the student score above 65% in HS . The financial assistance the college provides to students every year a free wine tour and scotch whiskey tour to the best selected 10 students across all the branches . The job I got during my internship is in Angsana Balaclava hotel in Mauritius as a Bartender with a stipend of 28000 INR per month . I got a very good experience through my internship and I am currently ready for most of the jobs related to Bartending.

Interview Experience
Yes there were 3 rounds of interviews for admission . First you have to register for the e - chat test where you have to go to college and give the exam on the computer . It comprises of 50 questions based on English , Mental maths , Basic life analysis skills , Current affairs . The pass marks for the exam is 50% .Once you have qualified for the exam then the next round is the group discussion round . The topics mostly covered in group discussion are current affairs , situations , proverbs . Each candidate is graded on their speaking skills and body language during group discussion . After that the Personal Interview round where one of the department heads conduct the interview with the selected student . The students are mainly asked about their interest , the reason for joining the course , ambition etc . I prepared for the exams by studying current affairs , topics of gd from internet and speaking with myself in front of mirror for improving my speaking skills.
