IIHMR is one of the premier and pioneer institute in Hospital and Health Management. The eminent alumni network, the placements at college and experience of the faculty are driving factors that aided me in choosing IIHMR

Course syllabus is tailored as per current Health care trends. They provide additional trainings as per the market demand. We have observer ship in the beginning of first year. This provides a gist of Hospital functions for people from non medical background which further helps in understanding the academic subjects. As per the module we have hospital visits which not only provide practical exposure but also helps in Improving Analytical skills. We get to closely observe the operations of multiple health systems and Business models. Unlike other Hospital management colleges the added advantage at IIHMR is, we get to decide the major subject post our summer training (2 months of internship) I.e, after first year. This gives better insights for choosing the major subject in the second year. Also, there is no restriction for choosing organisations for internship. The college provides complete freedom in choosing the organizations across the country.Faculty at IIHMR are mentors for life. To name some Dr. Veena my mentor guided me in my first year in improving my professional skills. Dr Sarala our placement officer arranged mock interviews, aptitude tests and Group discussions which helped us in cracking the interviews. Faculty at IIHMR are PHD holders who are best in their own streams. We also have guest faculty who have more than 20 years of experience in their respective fields. Interactions with them provides better understanding of our roles as Health care Manager

I have done my dissertation and implemented Ongoing projects in the areas of digital Health

Around 20 organizations approach IIHMR for placements. To name few Narayana Hrudayala, LV Prasad Eye Institute, Teleradiologu Solutions, Deloitte, Day to Day health, Cerner, HX central are few. The profile offered is mostly middle level management roles and differ from organization to organization. Placements usually start by September and end by the end of January. In our batch by the end of course curriculum all students were placed. The placement preparation includes training on Preparing resume, group discussions, personal Interview and Aptitude tests. Placement department Is proactive and provides training in the beginning of second year which gives ample time for students to get prepared for their placement. Alumni connect is strong and they aid students in getting placement at the organization of students preference.

IIHMR organizes Adwitya conference very year. It is a technical conference where Industry leaders across various cities and businesses meet. This provides exposure for the students on current trends and also helps in increasing the network. Around 200 people attend the conference where as 50 scientific presentations are organised. Every year IIHMR organizes alumni connect and inter college sports. Alumni connect is aMajor event where close to 40 alumni attend every year.

The college offers scholarship for students with UG percentage about 70% for all the graduates and for MBBS graduates cut off is above 60%. The college will help in getting the education loan in the required bank.

There is a badminton and throw ball court. Free Wi-fi access and our library holds all the essentials books required for MBA graduates. Our library also maintains the Dissertations and reports of every passing student. This dissertation reports act as valuable resources for improving the problem solving skills. The Journals and current research projects carried by the college are maintained in the library. We also have access to electronic Library resources where we can read articles published by authors across the world.Our computer lab is fully equipped with decent computers which are brand new and are under good working conditions

I haven't opted hostel facility. Hostel rooms are spacious (400- 500 sqfeet) where two people can comfortably stay. Two students are accommodated in one room. Availing hostel facility is as easy as ordering food. The students has to inform in the college about the requirement. The management will arrange it as per the requirement. Hostel seats are many and arranged as per the strength of the students. There are plenty of PGs around the college. The average cost for a double sharing PG range from INR 5000 to INR 6000.
