JEE mains Counselling is conducted by PTU for all the students with 85% residents of Punjab seats and rest 15% open to All India.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is just fine. The syllabus followed is that of the PTU and any upgradation is hardly seen in the last few years. The course content is just not job oriented. Our college was also given funds for TEQIP-II, but I didn't see those funds being utilised anywhere for the purpose of research or improvement in technical quality.
Internships Opportunities
College does not provide internships as such by its own, neither does it help in getting one. They just give you a training letter on college letter pad, thats it. No companies specifically visit here for any sort of internship purposes.
Placement Experience
Here they are able to win, as they bring a lot of good opportunities to the students. Mass recruiters are only here for CSE/IT, in other streams the numbers are very bad.
College Events
They celebrate only one major event every year . They do call a famous singer on the event. Participation is quite considerable. There are also individual dept fests that keep on going every now and then. Overall the life here is very happening.
Faculty
Everyone knows, who does take up teaching jobs in tier-II engineering colleges are those who are just not left with any other option, but teaching under-graduates. Well most of them are qualified PhDs, but then some of them take up jobs here while pursuing their doctorates.
