Remarks
As I was pursuing CA, Thakur college of Science and Commerce was the nearest to my place and thus would cut down on my traveling time. Also, the Thakur trust is one of the most influential trusts in the area which is why I was secure enough to complete my graduation from here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course for Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) was as extensive and vast as possible. From a range of subjects with the syllabus exploring greater depths each semester, it was a fulfilling curriculum. As for the faculty, they were punctual and disciplined about their work and classes. As for students, we were never left hanging around. Each subject department had at least two heads and a group of talented teachers who knew what they were doing at all times.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements as they start their third year (i.e. the final year) of b.com. There are regular placement drives and conducted in a disciplined fashion. Some of the companies that visit are : 1 Motilal Oswal 2 Reliance 3 BYJU's
Fees and Financial Aid
A yearly fees of Rs.28000 which is pretty much affordable according to me and worth every penny. However, I wasn't too impressed with the placement programs of the college. It isn't about the companies that came for the program but in general the placement cell could be better.
Campus Life
There are a number of events that allow students, juniors and seniors to get mad mix together in order to maintain decorum in the campus. These events and functions are very well organized and gives students a chance to test their organizational and leadership skills thus instilling in them a sense of responsibility.
