No such things offer we have to manage it privately

Because I have heard from my friends that mechanical engineering from SLIET is something which you got only in IITs. All the labs are Full equipped. Professors were also very cooperative. Placements with respect to package are average but you will get placed definitely in some good MNCs. Admission process in 4 year BE Courses requires your selection through JEE MAINS. CAMPUS is very huge and green almost (400+acre )in area. All the departments are very well furnished and equipped with latest technological machines. In my JEE mains counseling Collegedunia and Quora helped me a lot regarding fees , placements ,campus reviews aspects etc.

My only reason behind choosing mechanical engineering course from SLIET is that I heard from my friends , seniors and reviews from Quora that if you want to go for mechanical and your JEE rank is also low in aspect than SLIET is a college where you can get very best quality education in very low fees as compared to other GOVT colleges. Faculty of sliet is very cooperative for you and there is 1:60 faculty student ratio in our college before covid-19. Majority of the faculty members are graduated from foreign universities ,IITs ,Nits etc. And there teaching skills are very good. Our college is best place for students who want their career in research field. In our college each semester have 5-6 core subjects in which their is total marking out of 100 marks in each subject is to be done. 1minor (30marks)+ 2quizs(20marks)+1 major(50marks). And it's very comfortable process for on to pass a semester.

From 3rd year , students are allowed to sit for placements. Placements are average in case of mechanical 3.6lpa is average and highest in 9lpa (offered by UNILEVER 2019).15% Students managed to get placements every year. I am preparing for GATE and also going to sit in placements 2022.

When we got selected in college we paid 30500rs per semester . And there is policy of 10%hike in fees every year. In our college one can get poor aid fund each semester easily by showing all necessary documents and scholarship have been awarded to those students who are in top 5% after semester exam. Each year many companies visit SLIET and offer jobs in 3rd and 4th year of course. Last year Mahindra swaraj visited and offer 90000 Rs scholarship + pre placement opportunity to few selected students.

Social and technical clubs in SLIET were active all round the year. MADHURAM is our cultural fest and TECHFEST is our tech fect .They are generally conducted in month of march and October every year. Our central library is fully air-conditioned, well furnished, and equipped with all latest books , magazines and journals. Usually we go for semester books there and they are easily available and present in huge quantities. Classrooms were also well furnished , having digitalized smart board and fully ventilated. Name of social and tech club run by students :- SVIESA (photography club) HAPPY CLUB YOGA CLUB NCC, NSS . TECH CLUBS :- GREEN RANGERS, JUNKYARD WARRIORS, JUGGERNAUTS , ENDEAVOUR ,SSDC , MAVERICKS and many more.

All hostels have 3 person sharing room. But one thing I felt bad that there is a provision for cooler and AC only in medical case . Rest you are not allowed to have cooler for rooms and also summer's are at peak in month of may June. Mess food is average and menu is there for 1 week.
