.if u r not getting any IIT or top nits then u can absolutely join here. Though it doesn't have its own campus it's having progress in spite of being a new college. IIT KGP is continuously supporting the college by its gd faculty. So on the academic side, there are not many problems. But you will be unable to have the campus experience..the exact college life. But it's absolutely better than any private institute and even in my opinion better than rgipt.
Course Curriculum Overview
Chemical engineering has a good future ahead in the petroleum and pharmaceutical industry. In one class 50 students are there. Teachers are highly qualified and mentored by IIT Kharagpur. Teachers are very supportive here. Quizzes are held at regular intervals.
Placement Experience
The first batch of this college completed their course in 2020. Due to the covid situation, placement was average. But as it has got every tag that an IIT hold so there is no hesitation about placement in the further year. It is also mentored by giant oil companies like HPCL, ONGC, IOCL, OIL,etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is the same as IITs. A fee waiver is also as same as IITs according to the family income of the student. There is no kind of campus jobs. Everything is as same as IITs as it is mentored by IIT-KgP and has got the tag of National Importance.
Campus Life
I have not been in my campus till now because of this covid situation. My seniors have told me about the sports and extra activities there. One can get good exposure there. There is also one personal Library there where one can find every relevant book.
