West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. I was ranked 12534 and this was the best College in Kolkata where I was getting a stream related to Electronics.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was good, but little stereo type, one can easily get good marks by following last 5 years question pattern and attending 60-70% of the classes, I even hardly read any books, only source I had were the matrix which were nothing but suggestions for every subjects.
Internships Opportunities
It did not provide any internships, we had to search for various training on our own and submit the project researches in few semesters.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities vastly depend on software companies, which is roughly around 90%, even people from non-IT background also opt for these companies as core companies hardly come and even if they do they select very few candidates which does not make much differences in the overall placement.
College Events
Freshers celebration, which normally includes various contests like fashion show, Mr and Ms Fresher, music and dance competitions etc. Annual Fest: Normally arranged at a large scale, organisers rent a large arena like nazrul mancha and brings various good bands and singers, there are a few dance performances too, overall a good involvements.
Exam Structure
Exam structure follows the WBUT norms, with written, practical and internal as part of the process. The process may get overwhelming sometimes, though with proper planning it can be easily managed, getting good marks in the practical is easy, one has to attend the classes and at least 80-90% marks are assured in practicals as well as internals.
