About my college

Positive remarks are very good environment to study and play with trees and greenery around the college, it is of 170 acres. Focuses mainly on overall development of student by conducting seminars, sports and technical events apart of studies. But negative is that not every item is easily available as it is in rural areas, college authority is not so strict regarding the attendance and results.

Course curriculum is as usual same as in other colleges, where a timetable is provided for the respective branches and several periods with 50 minutes each and a practical session in another half of the day of 2 hours. There will be 2 internal exams in a semester of 15 marks each and 10 marks each for attendance and assignment. And practical exam and Viva also conducted of 50 marks, atlast semester exams of 100 marks.

Placements and job opportunities are not so good in recent years, and less number of students are getting placed. College is trying their level best to bring companies but they are not recruiting many. So many students are getting placed in pool drives such as in TCS, INFOSYS, IOTL, COGNIZANT,etc. College do provide internships in NALCO, HALL, Tata BSL,etc. This year Tata BSL initiated it by providing summer internship for 2 months of 10,000 rupees as stipend.

There are a bulk of events and functions are celebrated every year in our college such as, HORIZON it is the cultural and techno fest of college organized in month of February every year, Technovation a fest of CSE branch, Vistaar of ETC branch, and there are many branches which conduct their fests, annual sports meets, utsahan which is the biggest sports carnival in the state, welcomes and farewells for Juniors and seniors, puja's like Saraswati puja and Ganesh puja we're organized in hostels, and many more.

It's not expensive, Fees ranges from 29000- 32000/- depending on the year of study and hostel fees of 18000/- per semester, if there are balances remaining in the mess fees then they will be returned in the end of the year.

Loan facility is offered by the college by his/ her income, but there are different scholarships provided by the government such as prerna scholarship for sc, st and obc, and medhabruti for everyone, hostel also provide some amount of money for economically backward people.

Extracurricular activities are very good in our college, for sports there are many like badminton, volleyball, football, cricket, table tennis, carrom,etc. Infact after IIT and NIT in odisha our college have the largest grounds and flood light facility than in any other colleges. There are labs present in the college but some machines are to be replaced as they are old enough. And slowly there are being replaced in the labs.

Yes I have opted the hostel, except the second year hostel every other hostel is very good in infrastructure and facilities.Especially the third and fourth year hostels are wonderful, but second year hostel is not so good because it is the oldest of those all, but it's ok. Many times it's been remodelled. And I rate 4 out of 5 for them.

I strongly and sure about it that the alumni of this college are working in variours prestigious organizations and also at prestigious positions, such as in ISRO, BARC, VEDANTA LTD. vice president and some have cracked UPSE CSE and also persuing MS in foreign universities. There are so many examples like this who settled in dignified positions and their suggestions are very helpful when college authority is conducting seminars, talks with them in college.

For getting the admission in the college JEE MAINS exam is the entrance examination. First of all we have to qualify in the exam and then we have to apply for the admission in college mentioning all the details such as rank, marks secured in the exam and pay some amount which is non-refundable. Then there will be document verification which will be informed later and after that tentative merit list will be provided with the college and branch, atlast final merit list will be announced with college name and branch.

Faculty members are all experienced and well qualified, they have done Masters and PhD in reputed colleges like IIT's and NIT's. Faculty members are interested in doing classes and never miss the classes unless and until the students do bunk.
