Remarks

Basically, it's one of the top most good government colleges in Odisha. Faculties of BBA are well educated as in teaching too. Good infrastructure with Hostel facility. As it's not a private institution, we need to carry enough motivation with us. Will for participation and involvement has to come from a student itself. Rest everything is manageable.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I wanted to pursue MBA in my further studies, BBA is the most appropriate course one can opt for in graduation. Faculties are well educated with good teaching skills. There are highly qualified lecturers in Ravenshaw. It's just that, one has to be self-motivated at every step of the college sessions. Consists of total 6 semesters, 2 semesters each year. Passing is easy but scoring good marks without motivation can't be considered as easy.

5th semester. Highest I guess, 2lacs. Average 1lakh. 80% get placed in almost reputed companies. I want to pursue higher studies after BBA. Most probably will opt for MBA.

College Events

The fests are usually conducted in January or February. But at our time we couldn't enjoy any annual fest. Each department has their own fests where it engages the whole college for an evening. Books are always available in the libraries.

Campus Life

There were high facilities for sports, wi-fi isn't much available at every place of the campus. One of the best library in whole Odisha state. As I was a management student, have no idea about the availability of equipments in lab.

Hostel Facilities

The Hostel where I was staying was really good. They provide a bed, table and chair to every single individual. As it's a government college, the hostel fee is affordable. But only limited students can get the campus hostel according to the merit list.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

Ravenshaw univerrsity history is more historic then other colleges and institutes. If you are lucky then you will get the admission into this. Other private and othr colleges you can get admitted by scoring avergae mark or with good amount of money but to get into Ravenshaw only your very good marks and luck is needed for it.
