Remarks
The very first thing I noticed was campus and infrastructure which I should say is well built for a new university. When I went inside I had a look on uniform culture and discipline aspect which impressed me more. And then finally after counselling I took the admission because of the course I am enrolled in. I am pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science with the specialization in Data Science which is not available in almost all of the colleges in Rajasthan.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course i.e. Data Science because it's an emerging field and I would get a comparitively high pay than to if I have chosen general computer science. Of course I am not degrading any course by saying that but that's how saw things at that time. We have either PhD or pursuing PhD faculties and they are quite good with the subjects they teach. But you have to see that they will teach you the top layer of the subject according to the syllabus, rest we have to do ourselves (There is a lot more than what the syllabus comprises). The faculties are trained and way kind to help you if you need them. About the term exams, the schedule is set in the start of semester which goes as it is (not kidding) so everything managers accordingly with a few extra classes if required. The paper are not tough except some times. One can easily pass the exams if he/she is an average student.
Placement Experience
Sixth semesters above are eligible. There is a long list of companies that visit including BYJU's, TCS, Capgemini etc. This year a senior of mine got placed in BYJU's at 14 LPA. Maximum number of students get placed with or without backlogs. Fortunately we have a very kind head of department who is not so kind also at times. He takes care of each student and makes sure you go higher than you deserve. I am also gonna sit in placements and hopefully going to get placed from campus.
College Events
We have an annual event called Lakshya wherein the student council manages everything from head to toe with little help of management. It is conducted in the month of January since past two years. Before that it used to held in August. The social life at this college is how you want it. Nobody will budge you if you don't want to be disturbed and if you speak up to people around despite of the fact that they are seniors or juniors they will respond in a good way. There is required amount of respect given to each student and nobody is treated infirior. Also students do party and clubing but there are a few norms which can't be broken and serious actions could be taken since discipline is the priority here.
Fees and Financial Aid
Education loans are available and you can take it if you want. I am studying on it and it works fine. You do get a scholarship based on your 12th marks. And if you don't get a backlog in future you keep getting it.
Campus Life
Our college doesn't have all sports at present times. We do have American Football where students from our college play at state level. We also have a couple more other games. We have a 24*7 wifi but it is not accessible to students, we use it somehow, though. We do have a descent size of library and a pretty good book collection which is constantly on an increasing term. We have full built labs. Our department sits in labs only. We had classes with desk and chair in only first year.
Hostel Facilities
I am not a hosteller but I will write as I have heard and seen. There is a descent sized room with the capacity of two students per room. There are two beds, two wardrobes and two tables. Electrical cookery stuff isn't allowed. I have had mess food quite a lot now and its okayish. You definitely get bored if you have it daily. The quality isn't the best but they try to keep it hygienic. The menu is nice and you get enough from the hostel. The hostel isn't affordable according to myself. I would have taken it but I prefer to travel four long hours rather than spending that much. You can easily take a PG or room outside the campus if you want.
