Remarks

Positive: It is located at a very decent place out of heavy traffic, infrastructure is very good especially it's the round structure which is spectacular, has a very good network with companies and thus more opportunities of placements for students. College provides multiple webinars on social/ economical and career-related topics very helpful in guiding students. Negative: Infrastructure is good but space(land) is less compared to other colleges. In and around it there is no parking facility available for students. It doesn't offer science/art courses creating less available subjects for G.E. The admission was through simply registering on the DU portal selecting a college with matching cutoff with cource, paid fee, then confirmation by the college. It is a top 10 rated college and is best for commerce on South/out campus. It is very near to south Delhi. More than 60% of students got a place with the companies like KMPG, PwC, Deloitte.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The cource has professional subjects like Accounting, laws but also offers subjects like economics environmental studies, english, hindi etc through G.E and AECC which adds societal knowledge of students and raise their conscience. It makes the students directly understand and interact with money and the economy. 2-3 section for arts 8 for BCom & BCom(H) with 60 student each (1Y). For now, there are only online classes (we do have classes through Google meet). Teachers are very supportive, knowledgeable in almost all sections and are very strict and adhere while teaching their subjects in a wonderful and easy method. There was examination through remote ways (OBE). Initially, the portal OBE got crashes but soon all the process simplifies. Questions were of essay form(in theory subjects) and very tactical ( in subjects like accounts) needs immense thinking before answering so cannot be called difficult but yet gives anxiety. The result is yet to be announced for 1st sem.

Internships Opportunities

3

Decathlon, KMPG, ZS, TCS, EY, Infosys, Deloitte offers Internships. Roles: content writer, website designing, event organiser, social media influencer, poster making, public relations, HR intern, talent acquisition intern, sales and marketing intern, Business development intern, Graphic design intern etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

Internships are available for each semester. Placement in companies is after passing out the college. Infosys, TCS, EY, KMPG, Goibibo, Deloitte are top recruiters. Top roles are audit analyst, content writer, HR officials, Accountant. As high as 9 lakhs/ annum is allotted. The average of more than 60 % gets place every year in either of the companies. Most students have another goal going for higher studies or any competitive exams. From the 3rd year, I will start preparing for CAT to get admission in IIM's and from there I will decide my future. Opting for any govt job is my second option.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very nominal around 7k in one year (for Indian residents). Since it is govt regulated the fee hike is generally very less additionally it gets financial support from govt for its regular and periodic expenditures. Students living outstation may have to bear extra PG/ rented house expenses so it can increase their cost of study. A far distance from college may also increase their expenses in travelling and food. Students very good in academics and sports get a scholarship for further study and support in sports. Financial assistance: those whose family income is less than 1.5 lakh per annum gets assistance through the student's aid fund. Job: along with the cource study there are no Internship opportunities available here to raise personality development and get skilled. Companies like Goibibo, IRCTC provide Internship regularly with a 3-10k stipend monthly.

Campus Life

3

Dastaan: annual fest of SBSC. It happens in aug-Sept. Around 10- 15 types of magazines and 20 different newspapers are available in college. Books on multiple topics adorn the library. It is spread between 2 floors with proper arrangement for students and strict discipline. Cards are allotted to each student who can issue 5 books from 5 Library cards. Not attended physical classes due to pandemic. Functioning teams college : Cricket Football Volleyball Basketball Lawn Tennis Table Tennis Athletics Carom Chess Facility available but no functioning teams so far are as follows: Hockey Kho kho Cross country Weightlifting Gymnastics Societies are the heart and soul of 'campus life living'. The college has no of societies, you name one topic and there is a society for it from social service, culture, dance, design, sports, movie screening to business. Each organises its events every year inviting all DU students to take part. All the things are conducted by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
