Overview of IMT-N

The college is well renounced for its marketing stream offering to its students and I wanted to pursue my career in marketing. Hence, I choose this over other colleges. The admission process is streamlined as it just has PI rounds. Under my score in CAT & CMAT, I had other opportunities too such as NIBM, NIA, BHU, WELINGKAR etc. But I measured the colleges on different parameters as per my interests and other factors so I choose to join this college.

The faculty members at IMT Nagpur are experienced individuals from different domains of industries. Hence, the practical implications of the theories get alot easier for students to understand. The faculty members here are research scholars from Harvard, Oxford, IIMs etc. Hence, their knowledge width is huge. The whole course curriculum makes the students learn from more than 45+ subjects whole exams are conducted on a trimester basis and each subject has evaluation parameters of 4 components.

The institute does offer internship opportunities to its students in different domains. The companies such as IDBI, HDFC, Bata, reliance jio, reliance retailer, CRISIL etc do visit campus. The start-up is also brought on campus for internships. To assess the learning of students from their internship the institute aligns project and a presentation revolving around the internship.

The institute has made 90+ companies visit our campus. Although the placement lies in the hands of students the campus has managed to place 90% of its students. The highest bagged package his year was 16 lakh as CTC. And the average package is near 6.5 lac to 7 lac. The placement season starts from the 4th semester of the program. The profile offered by the company ranges from business development executive, sales manager, sales executive, underwriter, analysis, management trainee etc.

The college provides the scholarship for new joining students in form of a waiver( i.e. of 75% of whole program fees) to those beings whose percentile in CAT or XAT is above 90%. Meanwhile, different live projects are introduced to students where they can extend their learning and earn as well. The college also provides the facilities for students to start their own venture within the college as this will help student managers to use their own learning. The college also provides scholarship in the name of Mahendra Nath scholarship, where the students who have scored well in their academics can be rewarded.

The whole academic calendar is bombarded with one of the functions, games, tournaments etc. The college is totally students driven campus where there are different committees, forum & clubs. And each of the clubs has its own role to play which makes the whole campus ambience very living and engaging. The institute is well equipped with all the necessary aids that can help a student in fluid learning.

The hostel rooms and facilities provided were satisfactory. Since the college is located in Nagpur, hence during summer the rooms use to be hot, therefore the night uses to be tough as the rooms aren't air conditioner equipped. The room offers 1 cupboard, bed, table and a chair for a student. The hostel room is available in two formats that are single occupancy or double occupancy. The hostel facilities are satisfactory and the meals use to of good quality and each week used to have different items hence flooding wasn't monotonous.

The institute only includes the PI round as admission criteria. In the PI round, the jury basically focuses on understanding the student personality, awareness, knowledge etc. The preparation can be done via reading newspaper, magazines and general knowledge letters.
