Remarks

I had submitted my admission application with all my details , after few days I got selected for two courses . My main preference was Bcom Professional and I opted that . That was my admission process because this course only requires 12th and 10th marks and no entrance test . I applied to sjcc and christ too but hadn't got selected . I chose mcc because of its reputation and facilities available. The good aspects of this college is that it has various opportunities for a student to grow and try out new things , girls in the college are very encouraging and friendly and it helps you alot. I didn't have any bad experiences here as it's been online for a year now and education vise it's great. My teachers are very friendly and are ready to help always. One of the bad aspects for me would be that my course bcom professional, we have to take another course like ACCA, CA etc and I wanted to do that but those courses or integrated programs are not available here like in other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I wanted to do ACCA and this course is easier for students pursuing those courses . I had 2 teachers per subject and the portions were divided equally by them. They are quite friendly and very approachable. All my teachers are quite qualified and have even done their PhD . My language teacher has also finished her PhD in that matter and she understands that language is quite difficult for few students so they go According to the students pace . Sums are done by teachers in elaborate manner in word or Excel sheet and is even sent to us after so we can refer. We've also been given assignments but not too many since many students are doing CA and other courses. They make sure our exams don't coincide with our CA OR ACCA exams . The tests were online throughout the year and it was not very difficult because of the pandemic . Our final sem exams aren't done yet because they only want offline exams so no date has been issued

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I'm doing an internship in Aashman foundation, it's an NGO for underprivileged children and women. I'm in HR and it's a 3-month internship. Other students have enrolled in Internshala, my captain etc and others are doing different internships in NGOs .

Placement Experience

4

Im a first year so I don't know much about placements but people will be eligible for it from their third year. My plan after my degree is to finish my ACCA and do internships to build my resume. I want to do MBA after my degree and carry on. Finishing ACCA will take time so my future plans will be according to that .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hasn't increased or decreased but since I'm doing an additional course outside college it is quite expensive for me. I hope it would be an integrated course like what they have in other colleges but we don't so it was a disadvantage for me. I didn't get any scholarships or assistance , it was purely merit . I'm still in first year but we do have financial assistance for girls from lower-middle-class families and scholarship for those who need this assistance.

Campus Life

4.5

We had our biggest fest CUL AH this year and it was a hit. Because of the pandemic, there's no sports or any sorts of activity in the college. But during cul ah we had a huge fest and all students could participate. I have joined a social group called under 25 and our college has about 69 clubs, more than all other colleges. We can join how many ever and we get credit points for those. Other clubs also recruited freshers through online interviews and application. We were allowed to access the library throughout the pandemic and study for our exams . I'm in under 25 and our group has been helping people all over with covid requirements and giving them information about any beds or oxygen. We haven't met our classmates so I can't tell you about social life but I have made friends through my club and they're all very friendly. Seniors are very helpful al.

Interview Experience

4.5

No I didn't have a test or group discussion. This course is only based one 10th and 12tg marks. I had submitted my application with all my details and I got an email for my admission. It was easy for me since I didn't have any group discussions or entrance. These tests and interviews vary according to the courses they choose.

I would rat 8/10 as the course was pretty good, I learnt eaverything in my B.com, whether its abut marketing, finance, sales , accounts. So basically it included everything a student needs in their graduation. I suggest that there should have been regular classes with encourages student teacher interaction.

In our period it was prestigious to study commerce stream in our college and had good rating for the course and the for students who passed out from that college. The management had good lot of concern about the poorer section of the society and hence kept the fee structure at a very nominal level and thus help to get education for all
