Remarks

The admission process is based on merit. I opted for this college for my master's in Economics because I found the faculty is very knowledgeable. All the professors are Ph. D holders. Also, the environment of the college is very peaceful. One main reason for opting for this is the availability of the semester system in the Masters.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good. The syllabus is distributed in such a way that it is easy for students to understand that. It didn't feel like a burden. Also, the professors are very experienced and ph. D holders. They make sure that each and every student can understand the topic which is taught by them in the class. They make sure the engagement of every student in class.

Placement Experience

Honestly speaking I did not found its placement facilities satisfying. College and university have to improve them for the betterment of students and also the image of their college. A very few students get placed from some course. It should be improved.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very simple and beneficial for every student. Also, the scholarship facilities are very good and lenient. Students just have to fill the scholarship form and submit it to college. Then they are able to get the scholarship in their respective bank accounts.

Campus Life

Campus life is very peaceful and calm. Students don't create any chaos. They peacefully sit in their classes during lectures. Also, games are organized on the grounds. And Career counseling seminars are also organized from time to time for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

Life at JT Girls Degree College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Remarks:

Overall, I can say that my experience of the college for postgraduate degree is good as of now. Although the course is good, but, I would want more focus to be put on practical learning because after all, it is a practical subject. Other than that, I am content with the facilities provided by the college. I was very interested in the subject and love it personally, so it is a great experience for me.

Honest review

Any graduate student can apply for the course as i have done B.Sc from the same college in PCM and then opted for M.Sc in Mathematics. For admission Students have to take prospectus from the college for which they charge for about ?400-?500 and have to fill the anti ragging form which you can get from the near cyber cafe. The fees is to be paid in the bank which is in the college only but it takes ample amount of time as the queue of students is never ending and then you have to submit your form in the alloted class or department which is really exhausting. As in regards of reservation the college first gives priority to the Jainsa first then mostly the girls and also on the base of your caste. But your merit must also be good otherwise your application can also be rejected. The thing which i would like for the college to change is that they really exhaust the students as first going from one class to another and then the never ending queues....Read More
