The Sunrise IIM V

I chose IIMV because despite it is a third-generation college, its overall ranking is way better than second-generation IIMs. In terms of crowd quality(students), IIMV has really good students. It really helps for Peer learning which is the backbone of any MBA college.

We have a total of 6 terms just like any other IIMs. The overall workload( Quizzes, Assignments, projects, etc) is a very high but enjoyable thing. Most IIM V profs are really good in terms of teaching and subject knowledge. They follow case base approach pedagogy. Faculties are very helpful for extra-curricular activities. The overall IIM V spending on Library resources is also quite high.

We have a mandatory internship of 8 weeks after completion of the first year. This year also there was 100% summer placement like past 5 years and has achieved an average stipend of Rs. 62,624/- and highest being Rs. 2,00.000. We have got more than 50 companies this year with 140 offers. Some of the prominent recruiters are BOSCH, ICICI Lombard, MTR, Modern foods, Sureti IMF, YES Bank, TAFE, etc with all the domains of Sales & Marketing, HR, Operations, Consulting, Finance etc

IIM V has achieved 100% placements since its inception. Even this year despite pandemic IIMV managed to achieve 100% placements with good packages to all students. We get placements from some of the best companies like Amazon, KPMG, Yes Bank, Bosch, ICICI Lombard, Adani group, Amul, MTR Foods, Modern foods, MU Sigma, etc and many more across aloo domains like BSFI, IT/ITES, Operations, HR, Manufacturing, EdTech, etc

The course fee is around 13.5 lakhs + hostel mess charges which total around 15.5lakhs for the complete duration. When it comes to other IIMs this little bit on the lower side but definitely higher for private MBA colleges. We have scholarships for the economically backward classes. College also assists students to get central gov level scholarships.

Due to covid conditions, I did not get a chance to visit the IIMV campus/hostels. But despite such difficulties, we celebrated a lot of festivals such as Samarambh, Sanshrey, etc. on virtual mode. We have many good clubs & committees in IIM V. Some of them are the Placement Committee, Students Affairs Council, Students Academic Council, Alumni Committee, Consulting Club, Marketing Club, Operations Club, Sports, and Cultural Cluster. The amenities in the classroom were excellent.

We have a wonderful beach view hostel which is locked near R.K. Beach. The amenities available in the hostel are excellent, all the hostel rooms are air-conditioned, fully furnished with a bed, table, wardrobe, etc. We also have a common area where we can meet and play indoor games like table tennis, carroms, chess. There is also a refrigerator, TV and Soft set available in the common area. I can proudly say that this is the only IIM in India having a beach hostel with world-class infrastructure and amenities. Due to the pandemic only a few of our batchmates have got chance to stay at a hostel and we still are looking forward to enjoying to the fullest.
